now that the team has gone backwards by not winning games, alot of there big names getting injured through pre season and early i the year where do we see draft possiblities??

few names i will chuck up are:

Trengove
Mckernan
Duhau
White
Tsdarkis
German
joyce

obviously they all won't go

i think joyce is good but just not big enough for afl

I love joyce. He takes the game on! I wish he were a few cms taller and then i would have him in my top 20 on talent alone. He could be almost anything. Its just a shame that its unlikely that anyone will take a punt on him in the national draft.

Tsardaskis is another who i like. I would just like to see him work a little harder to work in to space and use his speed and kicking assets. I have a feeling one of the west australian sides will require his services

Trengove & Mc Kernan definates.

Tsdarkis - no way known. Played better last year and has slid backwards.

Joyce - I would love to see him drafted as he has a massive heart muscle but size against him ALSO the fact that he always tries to do a little bit too much and only a small percentage of these pay off.

Duhau - tough one. Plays good football but is it enough??? IMO doesn't have the X factor. Maybe Rookie.

German & White - Last year I would has said yes. This year leaning towards no. Possible rookie list. IMO they have both been trying very hard to make themselves (an each other) look good. Not always taking the best option or playing for the team.

Joyce may make it - granted guys his height etc very rarely do but certainly worth a late chance or rookie spot.

Would still have German in the mix for sure.

Yeah I was probably a bit harsh in my earlier thread. He is a good footballer and I hope he makes it, he just has to play a smarter and take the best option more often.

Trengove - Drafted
Mckernan - Drafted
Duhau - Rookied, has upside.

At this stage of the season 2 drafted and 1 rookied.

Others in the mix are as noted previously, really need to do the right things from here on.

Apart from Joyce & German who have stabilized, others have (you would have to say,) underperformed.

White & Tsdarkis, probably had the most upside at the begining of the season. White had limited preparation and probably played his best game of the season last round, needs to keep his rate up and follow the old addage (first option is generally the best option.) I hope he keeps building on his recent performance for the remainder of the season because his does have class.

Tsdarkis this season hasn't displayed much ability to win his own ball and hence has suffered due to the team struggling. A couple of games the conditions haven't suited also. Needs to either start winning his own footy or step up the handball receives, together with his disposal when he gets it. His playing style and run will always be noticed, but its just not happening often enough at the moment.

Out of all the names mentioned above, Duhau would probably be the only person happy with his efforts to date.

Joyce, yes run, create, take them on but use your team mates and you will kill off all the doubters (me included.) He is not too small, if he hits 6 of his mates inside 50 every week by either hand or foot and all of a sudden his a much better prospect insn't he. (Brent Harvey written all over him.)

German injuries have cost him a little this year, hasn't been able to dominate. Possibly 6 good German games towards the end of the season will see him remind doubters of his true football nouse and ability.

i think your pretty right there, the 2 big guys are definites

Joyce i don't think will go, can do what ever he likes, evan though he is a gun i don't think an afl team will take the chance on the lightly framed and short height of him.

White, has under acheived so far, he is class but i think his lack of preperation, has been a big factor, saying that its not going to matter at the end of the year if he dosn't show it out in the games we won't see him drafted

Tsdarkis i have to say dosn't have much to look at, his quick but i think thats about it

German is obviously a hard worker and is still a chance if he shows some great form coming back from the injury later on in the year when he is fit will help him, needs to take them on and show speed for his height

duhau has been great so far but i think he has to chow a bit of magic at some stage, it has been a bit straight forward, his not a calss act and his not a beautifully skilled player he is some what a hard worker in the middle

some good prospects amongst the team

but to be honest none of them would be able to cut the mustard at afl level

I'm not sure how that makes sense but it does.

Not a bad thread this, I agree with most of what has been written by everyone except for one paragraph. Good read people :thumbsu:
