The Cannons haven't had a thread for a while...two weeks out from the draft it would be interesting to get people's thoughts on who will get drafted from there?

Inside Footy's draft liftout listed - Lynden Dunn, Adam Iacobucci, Dean Limbach, Matt Little, Ivan Maric, Shane Neaves, Jackson Barling, James Ezard, Ben Jolley, JD Smith, Dale May, Matt White.

Anyone prepared to list some sort of order?

Are you are a fan of Dale May? I am and it doesn't seem too many others are as he rarely gets mentioned in draft chat.

Watched a fair bit of TAC last two years. Calder an outstanding combination. Sometimes though, players play up to the standard of the team and might struggle in a lesser one.

I was impressed with Maric, Little, Dunn, Neaves, JD Smith and Jolley.

Iacobucci - too small (last year only 4 players drafted under 180 cm)
Limbach - seems good but didn't see enough of him
May - perhaps but I doubt it
Ezard - don't think so
Barling - unlikely
Douglas - no
White - no

yeah its close

but Iacobucci is reasonably far down the order.... considering he's only one of the few out of all of them to go to Draft Camp.

That fact alone means theres at least 5-6 clubs showing interest

i was impressed with Ezard in the Tac grand final and i think Esssendon may use a late draft instead of going for someone like Blumfield as Ezard is still young and could be anything!

It also means that 5 or 6 clubs may have concerns about certain areas of his game. Most of the non-All Australian kids invited are in there because of this.

Iacobucci was injured during the camp so getting some perspective on him would have been hard.

Does not make sense to bring weaker kids to the draft to analyse their weaknesses. That would probably be more a factor in the state screening sessions. I think if Iacobucci was called up to the draft camp its interest that is generated out of his ability to play the game(not his lack off).

As for the people who suspect he is 'small', physically he is extremely well developed and is about 182cms. His pre-dispotion for injuries may hurt him somewhat but his stature is not a factor.

Dale May is to young to be drafted this year. Pencil him in for top 10 next year though.

That is absolutly incorrect!!!
His Birthday is 28/8/86 which makes him old enough to be drafted, however it wont happen.

Oops, i was thinking of Marcus Drum, the fullback for Murray Bushranges who has been a star for two years and too young again this year.

In that case, I would say you are correct then! He played on Jarryd Roughead when the bushies played power and carved him up!!!

Ronnie Davis should be kicking himself, he went from promising bottom age to a run of the mill player this year.

Nick Becker is a player I will be keen to see how he goes. I notice GOALden on footydraft has put him in there. He's got lots of natural class that kid, he should get drafted.

Why's he no chance to be drafted? He's been around the TAC Cup for a while, and is no dud. He's not a top player, but he'd surely have to be a chance late.

Agreed, he bulked up while he was out with injury. His height - well he is an 'old' top age player (January 1986), so I think that might not help him much.

I'd like Adelaide to pick Shane Neaves with a later pick because I get the feeling he will do a John Meeson and be a first rounder next year if he gets overlooked in a couple of weeks.
