From a good Freo family! I hear from someone close that he is
Very likely staying with the bombers, but that was pre today's decision, so things might have changed

Well he won the Best and Fairest so he would still be loyal and stick with the Bombers. But after today's decision that means nothing in the scheme of things. We should offer a substantial contract and with a team still relatively young with Fyfe and co. Essendon are stuffed for 5-10 years at the moment.

I wouldn't expect Hooker to decide he's fed up with Essendon. These players have had long enough to do that, yet have stuck firmly with the club. Honestly, it is quite astonishing that they haven't been able to see that the EFC has hung them out to dry, put them in possible danger with experimental drugs, and only ever had the club's (not the players) interests in mind. I expect these brainwashed players to be even more committed to the EFC cause. They'll see it as some form of heroic redemption to return glory to their mighty, proud and brave club.

The circumstances have somewhat changed. Why would anyone want to represent that s**tstain on the competition? They've let down their players and supporters like never before, **** them.

I can't put the image out of my mind of him hopelessly chasing Buddy along the boundary line at the MCG. To earnestly persevere at a fruitless endeavour will forever be personified by Cale Hooker. So perfect for Freo then.

Of course it was, kale is a vegetable...

Well apparently conditions for all suspended players mean that they will all be classed as *Delisted* free agents. Combine this with the likelihood that the suspended players will sue the EFC. You'd have to think an overwhelming percentage that are involved in any legal action would be on their way out of the club.

We've just got to hope Hooker wants to return home!

Well in that case Bondy et al should be popping over to Michael Hurleys house while they're in the area.

Is this actually confirmed? If it is they will be in big poo for a while (as if they are already not there). No compo available for losing some of those players will put them in a far worse situation than any club since expansion begun. Penalising the Bombers aside I do think it is an option the players should have. It could easily be a toxic environment for them.

It was reported on the West Australian web site by Dale Miller. However I have not seen it reported any where else since, so possibly BS.

All banned players have a clause in their contracts allowing them to terminate their contract if found guilty.

I read somewhere yesterday his family are furious with the injectors.

Dont be surprised if a lot of them start proceedings against the EFC, they are in for a monster pay day.

I imagine the bond they had is shattered now, Hird has slithered off like the snake he is, gutless prick. The worm will turn

From memory, isn't this how the Ryder trade went through. He was gonna challenge along the lines of breach of contract if not traded to become a free agent.

Plus the fact they wouldn't tell him what they pumped into him, and his missus was pregnant.

She was freaking out, but they assured everyone they didn't know what they gave the players but they knew it wasn;t harmful

Then all their supporters turned on him, and absolutely slagged off his wife , when he decided to leave

Any chance their trade value will drop after a year out of the game ??
I personally doubt it, I predict one thing - it's going to create another unique trading period, there'll be early draft picks and players flying around again next year. Will make for an interesting draft....

The bombers are going to be bottom of the ladder for a long long time. Its terrific

Unfortunately gathering #1 picks and no doubt priority picks. It will turn out to be the best thing ever for the club. It will set them up for a dynasty like the hawks have had\having.
