Surely the game can't be that bad? all i see on here is people complaining about how many times it freezes, the amount of lag they get in games etc. I honestly find it hard to believe, i have hardly encountered any problems and a few of my mates who have it on PS3 have not complained at all about it.
i don't think you understand though....it was running so bad today that the whole blops2 online system literally stopped!
couldn't get anything to load at all. that includes looking at leaderboards etc..
that's not just me either, that's EVERYONE (as far as i know/could see) on ps3. i'm not sure if it's working now but it wasn't a few hours ago.

the freezing and connection errors are the biggest problem with this game personally. the lag comp at its worst is still far more playable than anything i got on mw3 at my current house.

if we got a re-release of cod4 EXACTLY as it was we'd all be in a very happy place right now....god i miss that game in its prime :hearts:

its a disgrace that activision/treyarch/infinity ward get away with it
mw2 is the last cod to feel legitimate in terms of connection. anybody who has played all cods since knows that's the truth.
pity the game was a flawed piece of trash. (imo of course....don't get mad)

cod4 will never be surpassed by another cod.
the best there is, the best there was and the BEST THERE EVER WILL BE!

I've had the game since it came out and my PS3 has frozen about 3 times, something that I can deal with. I also haven't really had trouble with connection so my experience has been pretty good. It's hard to tell whether people are actually experiencing frequent problems or are just complaining about small things that aren't really a big deal.
i've played about 20 hours all up and only my last two sessions which equal up to about an hour and a half have been worth complaining about.
other than that it's better than anything i've felt in a long while!

you really don't have to reset the ps3 at least once a session and get that connection error plug every second or third game? (those are pretty inexcusable imo)
those two things there are my main complaint alongside the maps and headglitching.

Hijacked has to be the most broken map in the game. Just got spawn trapped for two entire demo rounds, made it past the spawn building maybe 3 times. Has happened to me countless times especially if the other team is a party. Even heard a few 12 year olds squeal in delight at hijacked coming then they went onto saying how they love to spawn trap on it. I now try to skip it at all times quite sad because i like it bar the ease at which you can spawn trap.

It seems that you guys just want to bag the s*** out of this game instead of talking about the good stuff and how fun it can be. If it's so bad and unplayable, don't play it. Get Hitman or FC3.
I've been very positive about a lot of aspects of the game. I just expect the thing not to continually lock up my PS3

I'm sure they didn't. And the hate i'm talking about is not just about BF. See it everywhere

This isn't the first COD to have freezing issues or lag issues for what seems a lot of people, yet they continue to buy it year on year and whinge about it expecting different

That thing about insanity and all.....
Meh the lag is something I'll vent on but understand that it happens.

The freezing and head glitching are the two things that shouldn't happen. Especially if they've been happening before.

'Don Draper likes this'

Don, you don't even own a ps3, do you?! You have no idea how deplorable it can be. People aren't making up these issues, a quick google search will prove that. The constant freezing is amateur. I'm not even just talking about the ones that completely lock up the ps3, causing you to have to that file system check each time you turn it back on. He has had 3 all up, I actually find that hard to believe. I had at least 3 in my second last session on the 25th ffs. There is also the in game freezing. At all the menus there is always some sort of freezing going on. There is freezing in matches, particularly at the start of matches, where you would be running out of spawn, and you would just completely freeze, not even being able to make it to the home flag to cap. Treyarch has obvious problems with coding for the ps3.

I tend to agree, I loved MW2. Probably even more in hindsight.

The connections were decent and even though that's the game which really started the whole douchebag community (well at least when it was out of control) I knew I lost most fire fights because of my shitness rather than some other excuse.

Of course it shouldn't. Is it a PS3 fault? I have never had a COD game freeze my 360 that i can remember. I know its harder to develop for, but yes, they should have a fix

The best thing anyone can do is to not buy the game. But its just too far gone. We're too deep to stop COD. It will be released year on year on year for as far as the eye can see....

Exactly I played MW & MW2 on 360 and they both played like a dream.

Going to PS3 was a definite step back, especially on Treyarch developed titles.

This is their fourth COD for the system, their third with a 2 year dev cycle which means they have 7 years of coding experience. There are no excuses this late in the generation

I find it pretty crazy that I can put the game in my Playstation 3, right out of the box, and the Playstation locks up within 10 minutes. Wtf, did they not test that shit?! It's like they treat it like a school project.

Just had two hours of fluid, non-stop play with 4 bars the entire time-it was a miracle....then the ####er freezes up completely and now can't even connect.

I enjoyed those lag-free games though....gotta love the frenzy of hardpoint on nuketown,:thumbsu:

When it's up it's awesome...but I live in hope for those brief moments in time when I get a hour or two of good games.

Anyone who says it doesn't lag on 360 is either a liar or not a good enough player to realise.
Lag in terms of lag compensation, and getting kicked because the host rage quits - yes.

Lag in terms of freezing the console, players warping and 'connection interrupted' every 3 games - no.

If you guys are really getting connection interrupted every couple games and have to reset your ps3 every session then I can definitely understand what you are complaining about. Luckily it hasn't happened to me that match.
