I like the random mid game freezes and its funny because your frozen in the killcam too. Couldnt get on tonight (server unavailable) so played Far Cry 3 instead :thumbsu: Treyarch did me a favour.
I honestly believe it all comes down to the fact that 360 users are paying for online, therefor they get better service. PS3 users are getting it for free, so they get all the problems.

I honestly believe it is the fact that 360 is the lead platform, the highest selling version of the game (by some distance I believe) and that the PS3 needs more work to get the most out of it. Treyarch knowing that the 360 is the main version of the game spend 60-70% of their playtesting and time making the game run like a dream on 360 and then struggling to fix the issues that arise on the PS3.

Then they go oh well **** it, since they don't want to have to delay the game for PS3 and say 'we'll fix some of it in a patch'. This is known as the Bethesda approach.

It honestly isn't good enough.

It's always going to be this way, even with the 720 hits stores, same thing will happen, xbox will have the upper hand. I've never owned a PS3, but i'll be getting one soon as i want to play the Uncharted series, maybe i'll pick up a pre-owned BO2 later on down the track and compare it to the 360 version of it, i really do want to see these problems for myself.

Why should one console be subjected to rookie errors for an entire generation.

I understand the idea of one platform being the lead platform and the other being the port. We've seen it for years with xbox & GCN getting ports of PS2 games for most part, same goes with PS3 receiving the 360 ports.

But just because that happens, doesn't excuse poor performance.

If PS4 launches before the next Kinectbox and is more simplified for developers then we'll see a turn around in who gets ports. 360 was out a whole year before PS3 so developers find it easier and cheaper to port, even though the ps3 infrastructure is completely different, where as the 360 is similar to the PC.

Lazy devs dont help either. Bethesda are pretty pathetic when it comes to the PS3.

Wont matter with CoD, the lazy pricks will try and push out as much as they can out of this dinosaur of an engine, i'm not expecting a true next gen CoD for a few years.

I don't think we'll ever see a true next gen COD.

Activision have a pretty cut & dry business model.

Create a revolution then smash it for all it's worth then move on.

Check Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, yearly updates for nearly ten years before trying to change it up to boost sales.

Check Guitar Hero, a billion different variations over about a 6-7 year period.

Check COD, yearly updates for about 8 years now.

After COD they'll just move on to the next franchise.

Skylanders is set for the same fate, although that has a constantly regenerating audience.

Anyone who says it doesn't lag on 360 is either a liar or not a good enough player to realise.
Never had this 'lag compensation' thing or seen it until I seem that video, if we are talking about lag because the host has a shit connection, then yes.

My 360 has never frozen on me whilst playing bops2, in fact, I traded in my ps3 when bops came out because o the constant freezing and ridiculous drop in frame rates and shitty connections.

360 shits all over ps3, that is fact, 360 never has any of these problems ps3 users talk about, yet, they are the majority of people talking shit about the game.

If you want a good connection, pay for it, there's a reason why ps3 has free Internet, because they know the service they offer is rubbish, paying a subscription, when, if you do the maths is not very much, yet, offers you a far better service, is a small price to pay to not go trough all the hassles of 'shitty connections all night' 'games ****** keeps freezing on me' etc etc.

And the argument of 'oh some of us can't afford it' I gather the majority on here are older then 16, a month subscription on 360 is about 10$, which equates to $2.50 a week.

And as for ps3 having a bluray, ain't it nice you can watch bluray movies on a gaming console.

You realise these are issues from the developers not spending the resources on the PS3 to get it running as smooth as the 360 version?

That isn't Sony's fault, have you seen the first & second party line up for the PS3?

It has comfortably more exclusives than the 360. Which is why there is a very valid reason to choose the PS3.

The three main reasons to own a 360 are Gears of War, Forza & Halo which are all Triple AAA games, which make the system well worth owning. After that it drifts to the likes of Fable and timed DLC.

Most venting is about the develops inability to either develop or care about PS3.

So the constant bitching from ps3 users about shitty connections all the time? I gather that's the developers fault as well.

How many times to we have to say this?

Haha, buy an XBOX 360 if you don't want the game to lock up your ps3, the game you paid the exact same price for, with the exact same content.

Well if they found the best host and left it there then it would be all good, how can you have a best connection option when it jumps host so much?????
so yes it is the developers fault to an extent.

It's certainly not something that a superfluous feature like XBL could fix. The internet isn't changed by Microsoft choosing to gate a system. Lag is lag everywhere, every system gets it and every system gets lag comp too (because it's something added by the developers - they've even acknowledged lag comp).

I guess the marketing money worked, but XBL doesn't fix connections or lag.

In fact, the vast majority of lag and lag comp videos on Youtube are from 360 users.

I'd say about 80-90% of these posts in this thread are from PS3 users hence the fact we will mostly be hearing about PS3 issues.

I'm sure there are plenty of 360 owners complaining about connections elsewhere

Nice rant.
I ditched CoD due to lag compensation nearly 2 years ago then proceeded to go on a forum based anti CoD rampage for the following 6 months. I'm on Xbox and I probably have top 10 percent cable net.

Edit: tipping you're just not good enough to realise....

I must have played a maximum of 3 hours of Black Ops 2 in the past week whereas I could easily play that amount of MW3 in one night.

When are they going to bring back nuketown 24/7? That is the only thing that makes the game semi enjoyable provided that you don't play against a full party.

both went over 30 kills less than 10 deaths and over 20 caps on kill confirmed

and i still feel like turning it off

cant put my finger on it but somethings not right

I really don't like the game.

My main issue is that opponents are so hard to spot at times. Players just blend into dark areas and I really miss seeing enemies names above their head if you lock on. Plus the amount of times I feel hard done by on 1v1's is way higher than any other COD I've played.
