Never had an issue with system lag on the 360, if we are talking about the original 360 then that system had its issues, and is most likely what is causing issues for people on bops and bops2 who are still using the old 360.
The updated 360 they bought out runs like a gem, I'll admit I had the RROD on my old 360 which is the reason why I purchased the ps3, but since purchasing the updated 360 I have not had any issues what so ever.
The only time I get lag issues is when I can't find a host who's in Australia.
Dude, I suggest you take a look at the BF3 thread. I don't care for that game in any way, but go look over there. The majority of users again are PS3 guys and yet look at how much talk there is about 'lag' or 'connection issues'. There's next to none and when there is, it generally affects both 360 and PS3.
The system being used has zero effect on connections (there ain't no super Ethernet port or incredible new wifi on board the newer 360's, I can tell you now). Facts are, if you're connecting to someone on the other side of the country you WILL lag, there is literally no way to not have lag there, especially on P2P connections. Nor does paying for XBL. Neither of these factors you're mentioning have any affect.
I wouldn't be surprised if you aren't noticing the lag, it's not a detriment to you or your playing ability. Just that some don't know exactly what they're seeing and it can happen in such a way that you just don't really notice it (like it was for the first few hours on Blops 2 for me).
I remember back in COD4 when I first started it up I was getting moments where I'd pump several shots into a guy, he'd turn around and kill me, then on the killcam I'd have only put like 2 bullets in. Coming from Resistance: Fall of Man (a dedicated server game), I had no idea why this was happening or what it was about. It frustrated the hell out of me but I just accepted it as being the game.
I'd say if you look hard enough while you play, you will see more than a few of these moments pop up and eventually you'll see them happening more and more frequently. Because there's no way you're not only not getting lag, but there's no way you're the only person in the world not getting lag compensation. Because everyone gets it.
The only exclusive PS3 games to play, that's what i meant.
I'll be getting a PS3 just for UC 1,2,3 and The last of us.
Anyone that buys a system solely to play one franchise or series is doing themselves a MASSIVE disservice.
Why spend all that money just for a couple or a few games? Why not get the entire catalogue of games that you couldn't play on the other system? If you like games, there's bound to be a bunch of franchises that you do like. inFAMOUS, Resistance (if you like Halo, would be fairly hard to dislike this), LBP, God of War, Metal Gear Solid and a copious amount of awesome Downloadable titles.
I shouldn't have to mention this stuff, but if you're going to be ignorant to the other stuff out there, it's worth knowing that there's a heap of quality to look for as well. And as I said, if you like games, this stuff WILL appeal to you.
