How does that work? Game mode ends when the entire team dies am I right?
You could say that if you killed everyone on the other team and let the bomb explode you can still lose but you would have to be a grade A dickhead for that to happen.
Premiers described it well. Happens all the time that the entire other team is dead but the defuser either can't get to the bomb in time or ****s it up.
There are several examples in Search where a well timed death is more important than several kills. Say Player A rushes out and kills 3 people and dies. Player B takes his time and slowly works his way up to the bomb and sets up strategically. Game continues and eventually Player B is left on his own against 2. Thinking on his feet Player B move in and plants the bomb. The remaining players obviously rush to the bomb and try and find Player B. But Player B is clever. He knows that as long as he is alive, or, at least can distract them for long enough, the bomb will go off and they will win the round. Player B proceeds to avoid being sighted until he hears the bomb being defused, so he pops out and kills the defuser, the other player, then has a gun battle with Player B, kills Player B but ultimately runs out of time to defuse the bomb, Player B's team wins.
Repeat that exact scenario for 3 rounds and Player A is 9-3. Player B is 3-3. Who is the more valuable player? Player B obviously.
This is why when Liverpool et al say "Search is easy, I just played it and went 8-0" I roll my eyes and chuckle quietly to myself.
TBH they could take the bomb sites out of it and the only thing difference is you'd lose the "objective player bait", its the same as Counter Strike in that very rarely do you get teams winning the round by blowing up the objective.
Nah, we win all the time by successfully planting the bomb.
it is true that when its good team vs good team generally it tuns into a slightly more strategic version of TDM.
Although with that said, Alex (and his ability to grab host every single time we party

) destroys a search lobby by rushing, Gimpy is another that can run amok and do as he pleases, so the tactical element is not as strong as some would believe, the maps play as they were designed by IW, as TDM maps.
That has more to do with said players ability, not the game mode. A good Dom player or a good TDM payer will still be a good Search player, no doubt about it.
Search definitely has more of a thinking element to it though, especially when its tight and you're left on your own. This is rare when pub stomping.
That is what people are getting at though. There are certain play styles that people use, of which they have no intention of winning at all. Nobody has a problem initially with how others are playing if the team is winning, but when it becomes detrimental to the team winning therein lies the problem.
Oh c'mon. That is a load of bollocks and you know it. We're not talking about the random guy who is sniping in the corner when flags are being capped. We're talking about players that just have a different style or play more defensive/campy and cop it.
And its more than just the guys on here, every second lobby online some whingey little weedy ferker is complaining about something or other that got him killed. It's ******* unbelievable. I think if you ruled out every tactic, gun and perk that people sook about you would be left running around in the open in circles with a Desert Eagle.
