Geelong defender Tim Callan underwent an arthroscopy on his left shoulder last night and will be sidelined for around four weeks.
Callan suffered a dislocation to the shoulder in Sunday’s VFL win over Williamstown. The surgery was successful and he is expected to return in round 15.
“This is obviously a setback for Tim but we are heartened by the fact that he will be back on the field in around a month,” Geelong football operations manager Garry Davidson said.
Callan has played two games this season, helping the Cats to wins over Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs.
