Also a possibility.

But then again the dogs have lost a few long timers or great white hopes. Culture issue?

Sometimes players leaving betters the cultural environment as they could be a problem, we pushed much more forward this season without them. We have attracted our own fair share of players over time as well. Great players like Grant, Johnson, West etc also rejected large offers from other clubs. It's not perfect though.

Fortunately a lot of this culture issues of recent times are now at north and Essendon.

GWS seem to be losing a few players. Culture issues?

If you'd leave a club that has just played 3 Prelim Finals in your 4 years there (and is based near home), for a club that is starting out and has zero chance of finals action for several years, maybe you're just not that fussed about team success?
Maybe playing for a club that will win a premiership in the next 5 years had a lot to do with it.
Prelim's probably didnt turn him on.And no flag future helped make his decision.

Play in the finals first. Were you one of the ones dancing on the Bulldogs' grave after the last game of 2014?

I remember "take note Bulldogs, this is the last time you'll get close to us for a while".

Beating a top 4 GWS last year and kicking off your rot was fun. You really dropped the bundle after that game and your players packed it in.

Can't see Ward going to a third club.

or he saw the prelim appearances as being as good as it was going to get for a while and bought the dream of quick success at GWS.
Anyhow, can't see him going to a third club.

Heard from a respectable GWS person that Ward wants to come home to the dogs. Never wanted to leave just couldn't say no to the money. Expect a first round pick get the job done. Welcome home Wardy.

I thought that he was worth AT LEAST two top 10 selections (well that is what I have heard from Dog's supporters complaining about the compensation when he left ...........)

If true they would be demanding similar to what they got for trealoar if not more.
No idea if the rumour has any merit but he would be a restricted free agent right? So the Dangerfield deal would probably be a better comparison.

Would be pretty funny. Basically going to GWS and taking all that cash to come back and (hopefully) play finals, whilst skipping the Bulldogs rebuilding phase.
