Yeah it was pretty funny.

You can't tell me that the Umpire won't remember that incident when he's doing his Brownlow Votes... He's only human, it was pretty offending. Even if Chapman does have a stellar game in the future that ump will always remember.

I didn't see the match. What was the context of his brain explosion in calling an umpire a cheat? If its picked up by the media, is when he will be in trouble.
 
Would love to see the incident on replay.....but if it was a crap decision then its pretty funny. Nice one happy chappy! Presumably it was a netball like contact decision?
 
The umpire was told Chapman calling an umpire a "Cheat" is the lowest thing u can call an umpire and he said the umpire told Chapman that twice and told him its a "reportable offence. but im not sure if Chapman got reported or not.

We had a pretty bad run of frees not paid to us and lots paid against and it was one of those "4 guys in a bundle fighting over the ball and the ump picks out a free for god knows what" type scenarios. Stokes was on top of the guy who got the free and didn't get up quick enough according to the ump.

Then Chappy let rip.

I can honestly say I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Is there an unwritten law that when a team is winning too much they have to be crucified?

When I get the white line fever at games I agree... I too blasted Vozzo for cheating when he got close enough to the boundary to hear me...

... but in the rational world away from the footy ground, I know they're not cheats, they're just not very good at their job, and they have the worlds worst managers... the hack Geischen and Angry Anderson.. both massive idiots.

If as you say on here the media have picked up on it, and he has said it twice. I think he may be in trouble. Frustration does funny things to us all.

Ray got a free kick for in the back/high contact or something and the Cat player didn't get up quick enough, so 50m was paid and Chapman got all angry and then the umpire paid another 50m and put Ray inside the 50m mark. I didn't hear him call him a cheat, but the umpire wasn't impressed with what Chapman said.

happens on a weekly basis against Hawthorn. However, Geelong have had a pretty decent run with the umps, you must admit, and regardless, he should be fined at least.

Yes, I suppose you would call 19 free kicks against in the first quarter last week a decent run. Yeah I admit it. Pfft
