You're right on this but you can blame then AFL/Gold Coast arrogance and ignorance for that also. Geelong were well aware he was a gun player but not necessarily a leader and definitely not captaincy material and the 2010 season showed why. GC chose to ignore it and offer an obscene amount to him regardless thinking that would fix everything. Still, I don't think it makes him a 'shit team mate'.
