Have a look at the replay of last qtr where he almost takes a screamer over 200cm English and then gets the crumb and dishes of. Very nice
Too old for rising star nom?

Too many games at the start of the season.

He will only get better.......I am Glad Bucks used him on ball when our “star studded” midfield played like rock stars.

I reckon it was big focus of his to build his pace and power over off season and credit too him as it is showing.

He really added something when he went into the midfield today gave us a spurt and zip. Keep at it Browny jnr.
He’s thirst for knowledge is something else. He always puts in.

This is known.

So credit to him.

Having to eat my words about Browny. Tough at the contest and really growing in confidence. Liked his game today. Without Tay Adams, he is impressing with his toughness around the contest.
And has that Taylor Adams appetite for hard work.

Well said. The kid is a gun.
Second half specialist is accurate. He comes alive around mid third quarter and/or when scores are tight.

I don't love him as a set shot player, but on the run or snapping at goal he's got amazing goal sense.

He'd have a lot more touches if he didn't get stuck in the bench. He was there for 5+ mins firing the second quarter at one point.

He and Sier only had 72% game time. Still so much to come from those 2!
And I keep forgetting we still get to add Elliott, Adams and Stevo back in to this side at some point (touch wood).

I like how he bobs up and always tries to do some damage when it's his turn. Doesn't fob it off to someone else, takes them on. It's becoming his trademark.

That is one of the main reasons why he now holds his place in the 22 over Varcoe.

He has built a burst of speed, applies pressure, is hard at it, and will back himself.

It's disheartening to me when our team starts playing hot potato with the ball when we're 30m out of goal. Love it that Cal will go when it's his turn.

Wow he has some exciting attributes I hadn’t picked up on at the start of his career.

Acceleration. His ability to create separation off the first 5m is awesome and now close to best in the team with Treloar’s drop in that area.

His kicking skills have improved and whilst I haven’t seen it translate to set shots he’s shown silky skills in snaps off both feet in tough positions.

But almost more importantly he is a huge competitor. When the game is in the balance he seems to step up and will himself into the contest.

His ceiling is higher than I thought and he will see midfield minutes more and more this year.

Love when he gets the ball around goal always feel he will kick it, can't say the same about set shots.

It's a rare sight to see at afl level but someone drill a banana at goals that hard knowing they were going to drill it.

Brown's third quarter for me was the one that altered the momentum and swing of the game.

Confidence in himself is starting to build as well, he’s happy enough to take opposition players on when he has the ball.
Like he belongs.
That’s coming through now.

And gee he’s got zippier too.

I’ll put my hand up and say I was wrong about this young fella. He is going to be a great AFL player, thought he lacked some tricks to become one... but its clear he has a nice bag of tricks.

Next up... Daicos. Prove me wrong please
