Pearce got 3 and he was not as late and never tucked in like Mills.

We've been the most heavily suspended team all season by far.
The only difference in grading between Mills and Pearce was the impact which was graded as medium for mills because Spargo wasn't concussed. If he had been then it would have been graded as severe and he would have got 3 weeks as well. Simple as that.
Everyone knows the AFL are far more concerned with the result than they are with the act itself
Edit: and what do you know. Just as I finish writing this word comes in that Pearce is free to play. Must be nice to be looked after by the corrupt AFL

The impact was rated as severe for Pearce because his opponent was concussed and medium for Mills because his opponent wasn't.
Also leads to another question - do players get reported for bumping people's shoulders now?

Yeah, consistency is normally the AFL's strong suit when it comes to the laws of the game. I'm shocked.
The shoulder was hurt in an incident prior to Mills' high bump.
Very lucky to be graded medium impact and get only a week.
