I would like to see him debut shortly. What are the circumstances now in him being promoted? can we promote another rookie for free or do we have to wait for an injury?

5 goals last week and 6 straight this week, looks good does young Callum!

Stay at home forward or lead up?

Could use a stay at home one. Unfortunately, wont be his year this year. Might get a shot next year though

Can play either stay at home forward or lead up. Has been sharing the forward line with Ryan Murphy the last few weeks so has been played more out of CHF but is capable of playing as a stay home forward as well.

Has also played as a rebounding CHB for South as well so has more then one string to his bow.

Ok I'm bias as a South supporter, but I would love to see the kid at least get a go

We should trial Callum starting in the 2010 pre season competition to see how he goes. I don't think Notte will be ready till at least 2011. Reason being, he still hasn't filled out enough. This is seemingly going to take some time for him.
Once Notte gets a full time gig in our team, it shuts the door for any other Big forwards playing in the team, unless the current forwards have poor form and are omitted.
We'd then have M.Brown, Kennedy and Notte permanently, as well as Lynch and Naitanui up forward on a part time basis.
So give Callum some games in 2010 to see what he brings at AFL level while there's at least a chance for him. Otherwise he may become a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Not allot of AFL attributes, decent kick though.

Do you guys even watch your own players, even occasionally?

Its not as if we are placing a great importance on winning games. He certainly is worth a couple of games at least to see if he is worth perservering with. He cannot do any more than he is doing to press for elevation.
I like what I see in him but he may well be a tweener (size wise) at the highest level. Only one way to find out while we are in our "rebuilding phase"

What if he accidentally wins a game for us?

Him and Notte are our next two options for KPP

He definantly deserves a game on form alone, but
1. He is on the rookie list, and we would need to LTI someone to give him a game
2. We have two good forwards in Lecras and Kennedy. Only person he would replace is Mckinley in the pocket

Still a chance

1) Hunter should be placed on the LTI to get his shoulder right for next year, no point him rushing back if it's still not ok
2) No reason we can't play Wilson at FF and McKinley out of a forward pocket with Lecras out of the other pocket

Unleash the Callum!

I am not sure if Notte is ever going to be big enough for AFL. His body type would be incredibly hard to put muscle on.

Needs more impact at WAFL to get a call up.

A free rookie upgrade and Waters LTI have seen Davis and Cockie upgraded.

What about Shuey or Staker who look to be out for quite some time?

Surely put one of these two on the LTI list.

injuries must 8 weeks or more to put someone on LTI
Shuey was 5-7
and stake was about 4 then had another injury for 3 finger / knuckle related.

There maybe an option with Hunter depending on scans

Injuries can be whatever length they happen to be, but you can't get back on the main list for at least 8 (?) weeks.

Pretty sure Hunter is only out for 4 weeks.

I understand that but with the amount of time he has allready been out his season is pretty much shot fitness wise. Youd also want to bring him back through the WAFL for a few games first to test the shoulder, and that could be a week or two after the 4 week period if he only starts full training in 4 weeks.

And all of this is only based on the belief that this latest surgery fixes the problem and all is well after that. Which I dont think will be the case.

Hunter cannot afford to be placed on LTIL given he must be close to being advised to give it away. An 8 week block would finish his season and give him no chance of proving he has the ability to play again.
Can anyone advise whether he is contacted for next year ???
