We are all angry and upset but lets calm down

We played woefully but only just lost... i know we are sick of just losing but honestly i think we are one good performance away from doing well and i mean against a good team. That chance will come in 2 weeks against the WEagles.

Selwood was fantastic as was Varcoe.

King needs some game time to get match fitness. Blake cant kick so therefore to compete when we got one guy who cant kick is great.

Rooke was out. Ottens was out. S Johnson was out. G Ablett was injured and wasnt his best.

Hawkins is slow and needs to get some matches into him

a lot of positive things to think about

We were bad, but the thing people seem to be missing is that we were outplayed by a team that should finish dead last.

Gold Coast were very good today and the reason we didn't win has more to do with them smashing us at clearances and moving the ball well, then us being shit.

What's with all the positive talk? I am a positive person but you cannot keep harping on positives and forgetting about the brutal truth forever.

Fact is our young players between 18-21 are going to be very good footballers. Then we have a core group after that who are overrated and mentally weak.

We are NOT good enough to win a premiership.

You know sometimes the simple explanations are the best. In a tough game where the opposition has turned up to play we just dont play four quarters. True.

We got smashed today. Did you watch the game? Cannot believe 10 minutes of junk time football has persuaded you.

today was an example of a culture of mediocrity that permeates our club. Look at the positives all you want, but the 4 points didn't come our way and that is all that is important in the end. I think we are still missing a clearance winner. I get so frustrated watching the oposition rip the ball away while our lads seem to be flat footed and lack a clue. There will be no premiership with this current line up this year. New Coach, cut a bit of deadwood out of the side, get the players we need. That's what is required here.

Was it just me, or did we improve in our centre clearances in the second half when Ling was moved out of the square? Maybe Ling should line up on the wing and then run with his man after the centre bounce.

If that is true and in fact the case, then why is there so much heartache on these pages ???

Because you know it isn't true, otherwise your EXPECTATIONS wouldn't matter as you know they would've lost.

If you can't speak truly to yourself, then you will forever try to live up to expecations that can't be met.

We do have a good team that should be in a better position, however they are a little lost on inspiration, which we should be giving them.

This thread is the exact reason why we wont win a premiership antime soon. The amount of mediocracy within the club is absurd. And this is carried down from the coaching staff. and now some of our supporters are accepting this bullshit.

The fact is that our whole coaching staff needs a re jig. We have one premiership between the whole pannel.

Teams like Brisbane, West Coast etc have coaches who have gotten there more then once. They know exactly what is needed to get there, and how good you need to be.

Until we get this experience in we will never be any good.

Whilst I fully understand where you are coming from, the past success is not exactly a necessity. Rookie coaches have to begin somewhere.

Forget previous premierships etc, I just want coaches who can coach and are intelligent. Neil Craig is a very intelligent man, let alone football coach.

The problem with experience is there isnt exactly an overflow of experienced coaches and so on out there at the moment.
Maybe the best in that regards is someone like a Mark Harvey or someone who has had a long spell as an assistant.
We dont need a coach though that is past there prime and not up with todays football either

You have got to be joking? Ayres was the worst development coach in the league...look what happenned in Adelaide.

I think as a gameday coach Thompson is without doubt the worst in the comp and that is saying something.
