It's pretty common knowledge that Digby Morrell replaced WInston Abraham on the senior lisr while Winnie was on the long-term injury list. According the to article below (from the Official AFL site), it seems big Diggers was demoted again when Winnie came back. I had been thinking that because our list was only 37 players at the time, Morrell did not need to be demoted.
I raise this issue now, because the article says that Diggers is a candidate to be promoted to the senior list again.
Was this a case of being too close to the salary cap limit, as Essendon were with Damian Peverill?

"The Kangaroos have yet to promote a rookie to replace Calthorpe, choosing instead to keep the position open for one of them to claim through good form.
West Australian forward Digby Morrell, who had a short spell on the senior list replacing the injured Winston Abraham, and former Geelong VFL half-forward Leigh Harding were the leading candidates."

played very well in his only real game, against Richmond. Carey came back the following match, so Diggers sat on the bench for practically the whole game, and was dropped after that.
