Lions started showing interest towards the end of the season.

Wanted a move. Felt like he wanted something better for himself.

Met some of the boys and the coaching staff (probably when he flew up for Charlie’s milestone?) and knew it would be a good fit/great culture.

Had interest from other teams but Brisbane was the main one. Family in Queensland and close with Charlie and Robbo.

Sees himself as the big bodied midfield, providing support for the smaller midfield. Providing the grunt.

Re. Robbo’s tweet: got a few responses from that on social media.

Made up his mind that he was leaving before Pyke was sacked. Knew for a fair bit of time.

Yep said the culture isn't great, much worse than a couple of years ago. Sounds keen to join Lions and the deal was done some time ago from what he said. Good mates with Mitch Robbo and Charlie.

Luckless Lion suffers setback, young gun tears ACL

IT'S A triple blow for Brisbane on the injury front with Marcus Adams, Cam Ellis-Yolmen and Connor McFadyen set to spend time on the sidelines.

Midfielder Ellis-Yolmen will not head to New South Wales for the next two games after injuring his calf in the first half against Port Adelaide in round five.

"He's got a strain, it is only minor so that will probably keep him out for the next one to two weeks," Austin said.
