Who is Cam Guthrie and is he main board thread worthy?

At this time of year, certainly.
The replies have answered my question anyway.
"He'd be a top 22 player in any team" is my favourite.

Can honestly say Kelly has made more of an impact in one year on me than Guthrie has in his entire career so far. Bout the most I can say about Guthrie is he runs around with the rest of the Geelong team. I know what he looks like. At the end of every game vs Geelong I've never thought "Geez Guthrie tore us apart today". Its always Dangerfield, Selwood, Hawkins, Duncan, Taylor etc.

I think I recall vaguely about 3-4 years back he was getting a lot of hype about moving into that elite category. Definitely didn't eventuate.

For the record I'm not saying he's a bad player, just not that great and not particularly noticeable to most neutral fans I'd suggest.

He's an absolute Geelong champ. My favourite thing he does is when he jogs around the ball as opposed to contesting it. Definitely worthy of the mainboard

One of those players that for some reason is much more highly regarded than he should be (from the outside). Very mediocre footballer. Watch him play closely and you will see this.

Guys like Duncan & Stewart are much better footballers than Guthrie but for some reason I feel a lot of people label Guthrie in the same field as these 2.

Makes a reasonable Ice Cream, can be tight with the sprinkles though.

Soft serve is his specialty. He does it very, very soft.

Nothing above a C grader. Made to look OK in a predominately successful team, still couldn't put together consistent statistics even amongst some of the best ball winners in the competition.

Lucky to have been drafted with a high reputation to a successful club. Classic passenger player, although he doesn't think so. Shouldn't be playing in the seniors, shouldn't have been since mid-2017 judging on performance.
