So I'm seeing 3 over and 1 the same. Any on the unders list which you would still value on your list?
Without sounding arrogant I don't think so.

We need an experienced ruckman for cover to Mummy if he goes down with injury. But don't suggest Zac as we will get that player outside of any McCarthy deal.

We need a KPD 195cms+ to work with Corr as cover for the often injured Davis.

We need a high quality small forward. I think between Smith, WHE, Pickett and Ahern we have this.

Basically we are at a stage where we either take high draft picks to accumulate points or select high grade kids or A grade players.

Our days of taking top up players and player/coaches are over.

Last year we passed on the draft after our 2nd round draft pick.

So if we gave you draft picks that added up to pick 5, that would be enough?

So we have only 4 (+2 too old) players you would consider and you don't have any interest in picks. Will make it tough to get a trade done.

We clearly have plenty of players that are underrated. We wouldn't have finished where we did without talent the last 3 years.

If you want small forwards not sure how you can look past Ballantyne AA 2014. I guess he could be considered too old as well.

You would think if a freo player is involved it would be someone like Crozier who has a few friends at the Giants from his u18 days so might be more open to a move but its more realistic that a 3rd club will need to get involved.

Barlow? With Treloar going another big body in the middle wouldn't hurt . Obviously a pick/s would also have to be involved...Why did his form drop away a bit this year though?.Was a ball magnet a few years ago

Think Robert Walls was spot on when he summed up where Barlow is at so that would be a big No for mine

Michael Barlow's time is up. He has become crab-like, stopping the forward momentum of his team. His lack of pace sees him repeatedly side-step and backpedal because for him it's the safe option. His kicking lacks sharpness and penetration, highlighted when he squandered two goal kicking opportunities in Friday night's final quarter.

His pace has declined, and he never had any.

Barlow was getting played on the flank as Neale, Fyfe and Mundy were referred in the centre square. If you want an inside mid, he will be great. If you want anything else then avoid him.

Im not necessarily suggesting Barlows the guy but 10 SC scores greater than 100 and averaged 116 from rounds 21-23 when Freo were resting players.Hes not a dud.The interesting thing is how much he declined this year though in SC scores in a team that finished top.Neale take his role?
Could help our mids out possibly.Fills Treloar spot.Only person who I guess he could be taking a spot from is Steele but another experienced player from a well structured midfield group could be beneficial

Don't forget Hopper comes in and looks AFL ready plus another inside mid in Kennedy. Ahern (outside) will be ready next year, plus Steele with another pre-season.

We don't need mids, we need a KPD, small forward and a ruck. Mids are surplus unles bona fide A grade talent

KPD-coughlan. We nominated him for the draft.
Small forward-Pickett, McKenna, smith, sumner. Not an issue unless an elite is offered
Ruck-we got enough fringe young rucks

So you don't need anything? Why didn't you win more games?

Maybe what you need is some mature leadership.
And not to run through our complete stocks of tall KPDs for the second year running during the year, plus having Mumford out never helps. If you've got a spare Mumford, maybe we can talk? :p

We cant always be looking 2-3 years into the future with our thinking.Next year is a fail if we dont make the 8.So your saying Steele and Hopper replace Treloar in our first final? If we have to rely on a 7 gamer,a first year player and a second year player who didnt make the team this year we have got our planning wrong. Its about developing those players next year eg the Hawthorn way.Not relying on a first or second year player to get us into our first final eg the Demons way.If we start playing finals next year we wont have problems retaining players in the future.Whether Barlows the man is debatable but he is 4-10cm taller than every mid on our list.Thats an advantage around stoppages.Clems knee is right we cant ignore bringing in some more leadership
