Yep i can answer this
Western sydney is massive and it just depends how you look at it.
WS has 5 million people to put it into context.
It is divided in the way of income groups and ethnicity. A lot of the ethnic groups whether it be Lebanese or vietnamese or greek tend to group and live in the same suburbs, which when you look at places like bankstown causes some issues.
Also when you head out blacktown way there is a lot of public housing and lower income areas which can add to problems out there.
Then you have homebush (which contrary to many peoples beliefs is actually western sydney) this is where the Olympic precinct is and is right next to posher suburbs such as ryde and north ryde.
I live in the south west in an area called Camden. Its very Australian out my way, still lots of rural farms and countryside,.and my wife gets to the airport in sydney in 35mins early in the morning. I love the area i live in and wouldnt live anywhere else. Great community lifestyle.
Expensive areas of Sydney
Cronulla - overpiced and snobby
Many and northern beaches areas - overpriced and snobby
Closer to sydney - 1million for a run down weatberboard piece of shit in an concrete jungle.
Me in camden - well priced, beautiful scenery and all the emenities i need.
So it depends on how you look at it and where you live, but i love living in western sydney
