So your willing to give up the next Sam Mitchell who is already a game winner and huge potential for a 20 yr old who's played 20 games?
Lachie is good but he ain't Sam Mitchell. 9 + 13 for a player taken in the 50's which would get us the forward we need and a pick higher than we've had in years is a great deal. BF BS I know but if it was real you'd have to take it.

I actually think Bennell will make Mayne look a whole extra grade better next season, plus he is out of contract so big year coming up. :)
Is Bennell going to be our kicking coach as well?

Mayne does everything well apart from his set shots on goal. He knows where to lead, he can take a mark, he runs all game, he applies pressure and can lay a great tackle.

But his set shot on goal is atrocious and let's him down even when there is no pressure. Bennell could deliver the ball lace out 30m in front of goal but it's on Mayne to finish.

Freo were in front when he went for each of these shots, each one about 30m out from goal so not exactly what you would call a pressure shot. IMO he needs to go back to Peel to regain his confidence in front of the big sticks. A decent forward coach that could help him wouldn't go astray either.

Folks this isnt a friggin auction!
Neale for essentially McCarthy. Pick 9 is speculative.
Neale is a gun player and will get AA+'s. You trade him for part of a Hogan deal not for f'ing McCarthy. Hes a good player but not a Pav replacement.

I think we are losing the plot a little. Jesse is out of contract in two yrs and 12mths time is probably the time to have a go.
Neale = say equiv 9 & 13. Plus our first and then 2017 1st then we half way there.

Lachie is only 22 he still has all the attributes of someone like Mitchell
And in a year or 2 who replaces Mundy and then in the near future after that Barlow. Even once sandi is done the mids will be even more important as we won't always have first hands.

And a great forward is only as good as the guys delivering it

I'm expecting such an obvious thing to be fixed by the coaching team in the off season. Jonny Wilkinson style taking shots every day

2016 might not be a bad year for mini rebuild. Say we slide to round 8 or 9th spot +/- gets a decent pick. The 2017yr pick starts about there.

We had the same criticisms of Mayne's set shots last season too.

He has this robotic regimented routine and it's failed him for the last two seasons.

It looks to me like his last step is too long, causing him to lean back on the kick.

But what do I know :)

You hear me Chris? :)

Someone here also mentioned that. Is he any good? Worth us keeping?
Well he's a KPF local Canberra boy and sheedy rates him as one of the best in the draft this year

Whether we get him or not GWS have to lose a lot of point. To match so they could lose another or him, they love him though because he's a "local" (he's from vic)
