What's a Geelong player doing bumping a guy in the back 150 metres off the ball while his teammate is having a shot on goal.

100% got to reward the players playing the ball and not the body.

Raynor sucked in two Geelong players in about 30 seconds. Absolutely hilarious.

And now the Geelong sycophants in AFL house come out and say the first free wasn't there is even more hilarious.

And the Geelong supporters up in arms about their team and players taking the piss out of the rules and getting called out about it has me in hysterics.

I've enjoyed the laugh. Hard to find a good comedy these days.

Every day of the week it's there. There is no insufficient force, its either in the back or not and its 100% in the back, off the ball so contact shouldn't be needed. To make it worse that it's not even near the ball and the ball isn't in play is moronic by the Geelong player.
You must find another game to follow, Aussie Rules is a game you just haven't grasped! You are defending the indefensible, the Umpire has made one of the worst decisions of all time and Raynor has had a sook about his opponents close checking (bravo Mark O'Connor). The fabric of the game itself and the way it's played has been tarnished by this dreadful decision.

Rule 18.3.2 Section B. Can't hit the back.

Then further to Rule 18.3.4 which states contact is only permitted within 5 metres of the ball.

18.3.1 Goes on to state play the ball not the man.

Considering O'Connor was warned about it by an umpire and to play the ball, any leniency in contact is greatly reduced.

And the AFL threw the umpire under the bus for officiating quite leniently within the rules and spirit of the game.

Complete lack of integrity.
Speaking of rules or regulations in this case
15.2 Approaches to Umpires
(a) No person subject to these Regulations shall approach, talk to or intimidate an Umpire at any time prior to, during or after a Match including during the quarter time, half time or three quarter time interval or when the Umpires are entering or leaving the Arena.

Thats a sanction of 20 units first the offence and 50 units thereafter to clubs. You forgot to add that little part
Unit sanctions cover about 30 pages of these "Regulations". Can be as simple as hygiene issues (no Gloves), motorized carts, club runner infringements plus a whole range of things.
I have no doubt that after each game that has numerous players talking with umpires no unit sanctions are issued to Clubs
Players abusing umpires is an entirely different matter. That goes directly to the Tribunal.

Players talk to the umpires all the time.
The question is should they talk to umpires. No, but they regularly do for as long as i can remember.
.....................................

Speaking about the new policy this week, AFL football boss Brad Scott said coaches are – and should continue to – instruct players against talking to umpires on the field throughout the year.

"I think the best policy – and from my understanding, the coaches are coaching this – is to tell the players to not talk to the umpire at all," Scott told AFL.com.au on Tuesday.

"Our game moves so quickly and if your mind is still on a decision that is already in the past, then your mind is not where it should be. So, I think the best policy is just to get on with the game.

"But, that being said, it's an emotional game. We know the players will be disappointed at times, but they can't be disrespectful towards umpires in any way."

Scott said that players can still talk to umpires respectfully during games, but encouraged them to do it away from the field at club visits that have occurred both across the summer and throughout the year.

Honestly a good approach. I've umpired former AFL players who, regardless of how much they are winning by, are so fixated on every decision made that they barely get near the ball while their team mates are racking up disposals.
