No way. I didn't watch the Dees/Carlton semi but am closely analysing footywire now - it seems that Escargot had just 14 disposals @ 64% efficiency. Not the performance you would expect of someone who co-owns a music events business.

Danster, since you are aiming for completeness in what others say about Rayner I have linked Fagan's press conference below where he mentions him specifically. I assumed you missed these posts earlier as I haven't seen your thoughts on it.

Lets assume for arguments sake that Fagan watched the game on the weekend and that he would potentially know more about it than SEN writers.

You should note I already said Rayner was well held by Mcgovern. You have said you’re a body of work guy in the past…If you apply your criticisms to Spargo that you do to Rayner then drafting him at 30 was a massive blunder which should tell you why you should stop bringing him up as part of your argument.

Spargo hasn’t statistically or otherwise. If he is performing below Rayner who is supposedly 30+ Draft pick quality player then how can he not be a draft blunder? Melbourne list management has had an absolute mare by your own logic.

it's an easy concept. Spargo was taken at 29. But has performed at about 32. Rayner was taken at 1 and performed at about 30. One is performing 3 spots worse, Rayner about 29 spots worse. Pretty basic

I know how hard it is for you to admit when you are wrong so I will assume those three draft spots you mention are more like 20-30 spots in reality. Can only go by your history. Good to see you grow and begin to start being more accountable though.

Rayner played well in round 4 and was invisible until last week. He needs to kick 8 in the granny to make up for his deplorable season.

Imagine celebrating a tackle or a bump in 2 hours of footy. lol.

In all seriousness though Spargo wasn't even selected for week one while Rayner dominated. You say Charlie Spongeo had a good game whilst collecting 14 touches but at the same time Rayner is a spud for his disposal average of...14 touches. Your point gets lost beneath your bias mate just post as if you actually want a discussion and people will stop trolling you.
