Setting the bar higher for now would be unrealistic. This exchange has to go down as one of the harshest insults of a player I have ever seen on Bigfooty.
Essentially, if Cam Raynor continues to develop, at the end of his career he might reach the heights of Gary "Mr.September" Rohan
In terms of what 'success' looks like for Rayner, setting the bar that low has gotta hurt
Rohan averages 5% less disposals in finals than his career average
Rayner so far averages 20% less disposals in finals than his career average. Objectively his drop off in finding the footy on the big stage is more severe.
It's hard to say how many finals Rayner has left. Let's say another 16. So far once he's kicked multiple goals in a final, and twice had 3+ goals/assists. If he kicked multiple goals in close to half of his remaining finals, 3+ goals/assists in a quarter of them and starred in a prelim on the way to a premiership (while averaging 12.5 disposals to close off the disposal drop off) - objectively he would've met Rohan finals standards.
