His first quarter was great. Quiet after half time. He wasn't BOG to me but I will respect what the coaches say in their votes.
I was disappointed in how we played tonight. one of the worst games I've seen us play since we lost to geelong by 186 points in 2011.
Full stat line - 25 touches (14 contested) 5 marks, 10 inside 50’s, 9 clearances, 4 tackles

im not sure what everyones point is though. Has he shown to be capable of playing good afl footy? Yes. Has he shown to be widely inconsistent and plays more poor games than good games? That's a hell yes.Goodwin said in a fox interview after the game that he thought Rayner was the difference tonight. Pretty emphatic.
He should have deferred to danster and said that'll be his only good game for the year. Loving the inherent negativity.Goodwin said in a fox interview after the game that he thought Rayner was the difference tonight. Pretty emphatic.

The fact that he's played like trash all season doesn't go away after playing a good game. Surely, everyone learnt their lesson last year. Surely.
Doesn't count unless it happens 25 times per year, Elixuh. He was BOG for the Lions against Collingwood as well though.
We've really got to stop saying BOG when he wasn't. Against Collingwood, he didn't get a single coaches vote.He was BOG for the Lions against Collingwood as well though.
A lot of Lions fans have been discussing this recently on our Board, and we think its time for you to support us not fight us. We want you Danny. Why won't you come along for the ride.
I don't mind the lions as team.
More than twice is enough mate. I won this debate last year mate. You're late to the party. Rayner played well versus the pies last year, got tagged in everything, and then Rayner fans went silent for the next year. Even when I prompted someone to be confident enough to give me their stat predictions for the upcoming season, no-one was brave enough to predict his stats. That was their chance to get behind Rayner, and they didn't.Doesn't count unless it happens 25 times per year, Elixuh.

I'm all up for analysing Rayners season. But something tells me no-one wants to analyse his 14 disposal game versus the kangaroos. How about the 14 touches, 0 goals against the dockers in round 1? How about the 15 touch, 1 goal game in Round 0?

I think you'll have a lot more fun supporting us Danny. We are a great bunch with an exciting team! I might even be able to rustle up a signed Rayner photo or guernsey for you.
Yes, that's true. but in most other teams Rayner would've been dropped already. Even many Brisbane fans wanted Rayner dropped several times this year and last year. With reference to last season Rayner played well 2-3 times at most last season. 3 good games, 20+ average-very poor ones. It's not like he is good every 2nd week or even every 4th week. Typically, it's been once every 10 weeks. If a player were to play incredibly every game, they’d win the Brownlow.
Part of the reason Cripps has a Brownlow and Oliver doesn’t. Same reason Rayner doesn’t. Not every player has it in them.
That's a projection- you haven't been paying close attention to the Brisbane board.Even many Brisbane fans wanted Rayner dropped several times this year and last year.
yes I have. there's several bris fans that wanted Rayner dropped, this year. Don't make me name several names. That's a projection- you haven't been paying close attention to the Brisbane board.
