That's ridiculous. He won't kick 50+ while averaging 20 touches, 5 clearances, 10 score assists and 5 tackles a game... 40 goals much more likely.
... unless?

I couldn’t find this thread earlier but then I realised I was searching for “Premiership Player Cam Rayner” and forgot that the thread titles don’t auto-update when players ascend.

Fifth ever No.1 pick turned premiership player, 2024 AA Squad member, MVP Cam friggin Raynerrrrrrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At risk of opening old wounds, I note in The Age today, three very knowledgeable footy journos participated in a mock draft of all current players. Not a lot of surprises (e.g. N Daicos naturally selected at pick 1), but the thing that shocked me was that when I looked at the respective forward lines I saw Fritsch and no Rayner. Thoughts???

Well naturally you dont find a player of Rayner in a silly draft, he comes once in a life time, like...the lotto or something.

We don't care where three footy journos - some of who may have no rated Harris Andrews as AA last season despite being the no.1 key defender in the league - rank premiership legend, MVP, Coaches Votes and AA squad member Cam Rayner. We only care about Danny's power rankings.

Harris was pick 13, just after Neale and the number 2 key defender behind Weitering. I think that is pretty accurate. Having said that, the person who picked Fritsch also had Nick Watson at pick 8.

I had to look up who Nick Watson is LOL (the wizard). Fritsch is a skillful player but does like the easy ball a bit too much for my liking. Rayner is an enigma.

Rayner is pretty mercurial and can win a game with a burst of brilliance.

But neither he nor Fritsch are in the best 50 players in the comp

Pretty disgusting Geelong using HAARP to summon a cyclone to avoid having to face off against Cam "goal on the left to win the prelim" Rayner.

Typical Geelong.

Are you at the game today Danny? Melbourne look a lot better than last year which is good.
nah. the weather was too bad. lol

Well we had some good wins last year and close losses with some questionable umpiring last year. we lost to you guys at the Gabba by 5 points, GWS by 2 points, Port by 2 points and Carlton by 1 point.

I don't think much has changed to be honest other than an improved Oliver (still not close to his best).

Yeah I wouldn’t have gone either Danny, much nicer to watch in the warmth by the fire at home

Tough 150th for Bailey Fritsch. Thought he'd rise to the challenge in such a big game. Must be carrying a niggle or two.

Not really his fault though. Relying on a VFL journeyman to seal the winning goal is a bit much... Dees just a little short on the Logan Morris or Cam Rayner types who have ice in their veins in those moments.

Only 1 disposal and 0.2 short of Cam’s effort, not a bad 150th at all!

Rayner had an awful day today, best way I could describe his performance was Melbourne F.C like.

Hopefully he bounces back next week!
