Rayner was utterly dominant tonight and I will lose my shit if Lions supporters continue to point out the strong performances of Shaun "The Kid" Mannagh. This is a Cam Rayner appreciation thread.

Needs to plead the 'Selwood' amendment for continuing to get play for frees and get them for 300+ games.

Maybe if mighty Cam manages more than 10 contested disposals (for only the second time this season) you have a fair point.
Unfortunately for you, as you are one of those supporters who would get down on your knees before him, mighty Cam will always be an inconsistent Jake Stringer-type.

As I said, was never, not once worried about the bloke last night. He's just not that player.
Very thankful Zorko didn't do too much damage with his 35 disposals though. He often dictates terms when you give him that much of the sherrin.

Zorko suffered from the lack of movement up the ground by the midfield and forwards. Had the ball a lot, but wasn't given a ton of options by those up the ground.

I'm quite happy Mannagh earning unders so we can go after another free agent with the spare cash.

Like they said on Fox, Mannagh's stat line didn't look amazing but his impact was huge when it was there to be won. He makes sure our stoppage work and transitions between the arc actually amount to something. He's our connector between midfield and forward.

But this thread is about Cam Rayner and we should simply be focusing on his superb 3 goal performance.

After the sun came up today I can have a laugh about the Rayner stuff. Though if we’d lost the game by less than a couple of goals, I’d be close to giving up on following this sport.
