Don't get your hopes up. This is a game where a bloke like Brayshaw's career was ended with head high contact, no suspension and they kept cheering Maynard game after game to drown out the boos. Or Cotchin's high hit on Shiel nothing, bontempelli fractured Nick Haynes larynx - nothing. VFL at work, always.

This Rayner event is nothing stuff in the scheme of things. There'll be something else new to rage next week and media will move on.

It's been confirmed that more than 8k tickets were claimed by Suns members in the first few hours of them going on sale. Add in club officials, players, families, sponsors, general sale ticket sales etc and we're probably looking at over 10k Suns fans in attendance on Saturday night. Essentially 1/3rd of the crowd. So it's going to be loud no matter which team is playing well. Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Rayner getting booed by a portion of the 10k+ Suns fans in attendance.

He played up no doubt to get a free kick. Why? Because umpires are paying them. It’s on the AFL to sort it out, not the players to stop acting because the umpires have NFI about what to do.

Absolute stretch to suggest his reputation is destroyed.

That’s not flopping mate. It’s actually exploiting the stupidity of the rules and the inability of umpires to actually ignore it or penalise him.

AFL players are like parenting children; you want them to stop a certain behaviour? Penalise them or ignore them. You want to encourage a behaviour? Reward it….

Lol, It’s the definition of a dive/flop. Saying it’s not a dive or flop because it got rewarded is an irrelevant stupid argument to whether it’s a flop or dive
