Was a very slow burn especially for a number 1 pick however he's a star and yet to hit his peak.

I would say that his development is similar to Goddard's, came into the league, had good first few years, did their acl's then when reached about 120 games went to the next level.

Yeah. Some nuffies on here just looks at stats. No idea. Many of Cam’s stats are game breaking / game changing stats.

In that vain, what would we expect Cam’s to be if he were to leave as a free agent? Surely would be top tier given the offers that would come for him

If he had agreed to move to the Saints as a FA on their offer of ~$1.3mpa then band 1 compo.

I wait with great anticipation to see Spargos compo. Surely band 1 based on this thread.

If Tommy Cutler was worth 31 firsts, surely Spargo is worth band 1 regardless of what he's paid.

Cutler was clearly the better player though.

Bloke is probably going to get booed in his own stadium next week. I suspect the decent number of Suns fans that make the trip up the M1 on Saturday night aren't going to show him much love after his recent diving antics.

It boggles the mind to think what may become of this thread if Mighty Cam played a brilliant one.
Ya know, one of those 20 & 3 performances that are actually worth the hype.

He's achieved that once in 165 games.
I guess the bar has been lowered as all the rage is for broken tackles.

I'm guessing by the same time next year we will be glorifying how many times a player hits the behind post

Crazy as it sounds, there was definitely a time where a sizeable portion of Dogs fans (maybe not majority, but definitely a notable percentage) would have chosen Stringer over Bont. His 2015 was absolutely insane

Sure but fast forward another 100 games and his career transitioned into a tantalizing tease.
Certainly an exceptional AFL career compared to most but for his skill set, size and athletic profile . . . it could have been so much more.

Eerily similar to Rayner in my opinion. Although Jake achieved a bit more booting 40+ on four separate occasions, along with the All Australian and premiership medallion of 2016.

For me? I'm not really the booing type. However, Rayner did get booed by Suns fans, as predicted. He was quick to release the ball with his first few touches so Suns fans didn't get much of a chance to build noise. But I definitely heard the boos start to pick up noise when Rayner or Zorko touched the ball. It would have been more noticeable if he had held the ball for more than a second or two in that first quarter. It died off in the second half for obvious reasons.

I'm guessing Pies fans are going to give him a much harder time this weekend.

Is Cam still living rent free in your head after he helped us into the GF and a Premiership last year. Another nuffie that looks at pure disposals. Broken tackles render opposition players nullified and create unpredictable plays. Far more important than any old stat.

Still crying over him tearing your team apart last year in the prelim? How many of your players could kick 50+ on their non preferred?

If you think Rayner is a bust then football isn't for you. Because you clearly have no idea the mechanics of the game.
