don't expect anything from bryan. he is a vfl specialist. in the real world he just doesn't work hard enough. Bryan will be gone in two years, cloke will remain for at leat five years at carlton. Cloke was disrespected by the pies in the way he was delisted and i hope it comes back and haunts collingwood. If guy richards can get a game in front of you, it must mean your battling a bit.

Good to see the discussion on here. Obviously last night raised the question once more, but with Cam there were the pros and cons and maybe the con weighed against him, but looking at a team perspective, he should've been retained, or, as I pretty much stated, we should've looked at getting something in return for him.
With our ruck stocks as it is, it does make you cringe, but I guess you always keep interest on ex-Pies players, unless your name is Richard Cole (6th in the 2003 Copeland, unbelievable)

i dont think it was wise to delist him, especially not for bryan. Having said that dont get 2 carried away with the game, he was rucking against polak and chances are he will **** up because he doesnt have a brain
He gave us nothing and deserved that in return, he isn't "dominating". Truely he is a second stringer at the best.

The thing that pisses me off is that he has played similar even better games for Colingwood but the anti-Cloke bigfooty and media who just don't want to rate Collingwood never gave him much kudos.
Our rucks are disgraceful. Fraser is good around the ground just not so good at rucking and Bryan and Richards will offer nothing in both fields I'm afraid. Time to fix it once and for all. At the end of the year we must bite the bullet and trade for a proven ready-made ruckman.
I reckon Charman. Brisbane have got some rucks who can replace him (McDonald, Wood and Leuenberger) so if we pay over the price we can get him I reckon.
First preference would be Jolly (hit-out king) but Sydney wouldn't dream of giving him up with a 33(?) year old Everitt about the only alternative.

That's exactly right. Was his game really all that special? I was actually in favour of keeping him this year, but I would never describe him as brilliant, even if he did win a few hitouts against Pattison. Richards or Bryan would do just as well against Pattison and Polak.
Like I said, I would have kept him on the list, but let's not get upset that he's gone. He would never have been the difference between us winning and losing.
Never be the difference between winning and losing? So when we lose by a kick and Presti rucked the last qtr you will still say that?
