Cameron Cloke delisted

Would love to see him back in black and white. Never would have delisted him. Was my favourite player till he turned blue...

Hope he makes an AFL list, and if not would love to see him going the Collingwood VFL side or be get possibly even better be our mature age rookie.

Cam plays best when he is the main target up forward. And I think he could very well become our full forward.

Really saw him as the obvious replacement for Fevola at Carlton, could see him kicking 50-60 goals at full forward. Their loss.

Cam is way better then bryan and i rekon he was alright for them towards the end of their season had a good final and i actually wouldnt mind if we got him in the preseason draft so we can have more depth up in the forward line

He plays best as the focal point in a forwardline, he has the size and might free up Travis and JA a bit and take some pressure off them which would certainly be a positive.

Shame, I love old Cam. He's a footballer not an athlete, with a big heart and a glass jaw.

Like Jase he will embarrass a lot of highly rated athletic types in the VFL: I hope he comes to us (VFL) because he has a great attitude.

Would love to have Cam on board whether AFL or VFL.

In the VFL Grand Final in a losing side he was the dominant key position forward on the ground, and if he spent a year at VFL level would be by a mile the best key position forward, just would be keen on him as a depth player up forward.

Bryan looked good as a KP in the VFL too, i never minded bryan but he wasnt an AFL KPs ass hole and nor is cam.

Look at it like this Carlton is in desperate need of a big physical forward focal point, yet they delisted cam. If that doesnt send out a massive YOU ARE SHIT signal nothing ever will

That said, he is borderline AFL standard himself, it says more about Bryan than anyone else really.

Why are we even talking about Cameron Cloke.

We didn't make a mistake when we delisted him, as we got Chris Bryan at the same time, and they are comparable.

Both are now finished as far as Collingwood is concerned, move on.

Marking possibly, but in saying that i have pretty vivid memories of cloke calling for the ball and then watching him either run under it or just plain not contest it. Bryan at least always flew even if his hands were sometimes like rock.

They are both plain poor footballers, the one thing Cam had on bear was youth but at 23/24 he isnt going to get any better

There still are a number of other reasons as to why he may have been delisted. The decision may not have been skill based at all and may have been to do with other things.

For example his apparent poor relationship with Setanta O'Hailpin. I think Carlton may very well have chosen between the pair as to who they want to keep on. Personally I would take Cam, but it was an interesting move which ultimately I think was incorrect. Now he will either make it to another AFL side or tear it up in the VFL.
