Just get him integrated and in the side and up and running for South Africa.

Literally the perfect tour to be going in with a 4th seamer option that can bat 5/6.

Green will look like Morkel bowling on the Wanderers at 6"7 @ 140kph.....

If he plays India + South Africa he's got sufficient experience for the pressure cooker of an Ashes series in 12 months.

100% this. We don't need him bowling big overs against India. Two spells of 5ish overs per day will be plenty. The experience will be invaluable and he's in good enough form with the bat to be at least equal to Head or Wade.

Great work........

If Green was Victorian,he wouldn’t be in the team, nothing against Green, talented cricketer,”he is not quite right yet, needs more experience”,they would say lol.

Just the way our dodgy system works.

If Burns was Victorian,he would be a distant memory.

What a load of nonsense. He averages 51 with the bat and 23 with the ball in FC cricket, he’d be in regardless of state.

Want further proof there’s no bias against the Vics? Aaron Finch has a Baggy Green FFS...

Absolute rubbish.

It would take him much longer to get into the team if Victorian.

Pucovic is Victorian.Still struggle to see how Harris is not given more of a go and Maxwell but I think we have discussed the Maxi one on BF before and his attempt to play with NSW,not sure what prevented the move.

Maxy wanted to join NSW to get a better chance of getting in the Australian team.

BTW,I am not bagging Green at all, great talent, just would havefound it much harder getting into the Aussie team if Victorian, that’s just cold hard scientific facts my friends.

You can argue with me all you like but it’s true.

Green is West Australian you goose

Oh you're on one of these things.

When you average 53 in FC cricket with the bat and 21 with the ball you'll find yourself in the side quickly enough. Your teeth gnashing is horribly incorrect.

Yes but if he was Victorian,he would find it harder to get in.

Perhaps the coaches of all state sides should have more of a say in selecting the test side. Not sure about Victorians are hard done by when it comes to test selection but for a side that has done so well in the shield over the last few years a surprise very few have played for Australia.

They aren't. If players make runs or take wickets they get selected, pure and simple. Marcus Harris, Peter Handscomb, Aaron Finch (the exception, he didn't make big runs in red ball cricket), Peter Siddle and James Pattinson are all examples of this.

Even in the short form, guys like Scott Boland and Chris Tremain got selected for ODI cricket through taking wickets. The idiot above just sees what he wants to see.
