Take the coin for one max of two seasons set him up for life money wise....and then concentrate on test/aussie cricket as he is atm..you know what I meanHis domestic T20 stats
Batting average - 16
Bowling average - 40
I'm happy for him, he seems like a humble kid with a lot of potential but talk about overpaying
I'm also worried the more white ball cricket he plays will dilute his red ball performances where we really want him to shine
See no reason why it should, plenty of elite batsman have shown the ability to perform in all 3 formats. His domestic T20 stats

One/two seasons for me and thats it...made his coin
Green would be stupid to not focus on t20 now as he knows that’s where he’ll get the most money from.
The IPL continues to kill cricket, * that stupid competition
How much money does he need?
I disagree. This will be huge for his development playing close to a dozen games back to back within a couple of weeks against the best in the world.RIP test career
Tbh I think smith made some modifications to his technique which was in order to be more effective at T20 but it actually damaged his test match skills. Thankfully he has stopped that nonsense.some of you are so dramatic it’s insane, the guy has played more tests than he has actual T’20’s.
Did T20 cricket ruins Virats career? Or Smith or any other world class player who has balanced both? Jeez the kid got a pay day, good on him.
I find this an incredibly disingenuous argumentDid T20 cricket ruins Virats career? Or Smith or any other world class player who has balanced both? Jeez the kid got a pay day, good on him.
Not at all, the argument wasn't will Green master all 3 formats. My point was these are two players that have played as much cricket as possible across all 3 formats without it ruining eithers test careers.I find this an incredibly disingenuous argument
To compare Green to the likes of Smith and Kohli this early in his career
Both are freaks, and only one mastered all three formats
Which players have mastered three formats?
Sorry, when did he move to Sydney? You wanna buy a luxury house in Sydney? Probably 3-4 million, plus he needs savings to last him the rest of his life… plus who doesn’t want more money?
Tbf- hes always been a Western Suburbs boy so the 3 mill might get him an ok house in Cottesloe or somewhere else in the Golden TriangleSorry, when did he move to Sydney?

Oh...... Nope he is buying a house in Sydney. He will play on a $2.5m pa 9 year contract with the Swans after being recruited in the mid year draft. A very large % of the contract is outside the salary cap.*
