I am so sick of people coming out with comments like "My daughter could have kicked a bag in that game" or "Anyone would look good in that team".

There's many reasons why that team is so good, and one of those is Mooney.

cameron mooney is easily top 50 players in the comp and deserved to in the AA squad last year ahead of franklin,lucas and riewoldt.Franklin has since gone passed him but mooney is still one of the best key forwards in the game.

All you guys who are saying his overrated pull your heads in.

Never really rated him, he's ok but nothing out of the ordinary. Would be absolutely nothing in front of an average side.

I think he got in the way of Pav tonight. They were basically forced to play Pav up the ground because Mooney can only really play up forward. I would certainly have been playing Pav deep forward instead of Mooney late in the game.

Agree with the above...having said that got the jumper on reputation alone tonight and fully failed to live up to that reputation. As did Paul Chapman. Was pleased with the efforts of all the other Geelong players, though.

dont wory about some of our players not performing,every weak we have sides coming up against us at 110% no other side gets this like we do, it was a chance for some of our players to have a bit of fun

Could it just be that teams are playing at 100% and you're not as far ahead of the pack that you thought.

just as many as he would for geelong.People often get confused about why geelong had so many players in the AA team , they think it was becuase they were the best team, wrong.IT's the other way around geelong were the best team because they had so many top players worthy of AA selection.

If mooney was go and play for melb than they would become a better side for having him and geelong would be a slightly worse side.

Mooney is good. But not good enough to be AA.

On tonight's game, he looked out of place...though it's hard to play in a forward line which contains Buddy, Pavlich and Richardson, cause no one will really look to pass it to you.

And also his team mate and the best fullback of the past 2 years played on him.

yes they are at 100% but other sides don't get that every week.let me teach a psychological theory , when a persons arousal level is up high they are able to play at their true maximum level, hence 100%.to put it simple their needs to be a good reason for a individuals arousal level to be up so high such as playing the best side or playing in the finals.It is not possible to play at your peak arousal level every week.

Funny how if a Geelong fan brings up anything positive about 2007, Hawk fans are quick to jump up and down and make a point that 2007 is history and now irrelevant. Then when they want to troll a Geelong player Hawk fans see great reason to bring up something about 2007 and relate it to 2008.
