Cam is progressing fine, he is playing his role to a good level, not every draftee develops at the same pace, I'm confident Cam will be a very good player for us within the next couple of years.

I wouldn’t want anyone else from that draft as #1 aside from Cam Rayner. He’ll find his feet this year, and learn the balance between using his natural and unique weapons to being unselfish & team oriented. He is leaning a little bit too unselfish right now, and you can tell he is playing too much on brain (thinking about structures and player positioning), rather than on instinct. He’s got as much talent as anyone in the AFL, in the mid forward role.

Huge prediction, but I reckon our 2017 draft haul of Rayner, Bailey and Starcevich will match McLuggage and Berry in terms of transformational drafts to setup the club’s next 6 to 8 years.
