Its not that attractive to me. main reason to go is there are only 2 home games left this year to attend.

Finals could easily be outside victoria

I'll be saying Boo-urns ...

I laughed for a good 30 seconds then looked up that video.

He's Hawthorn at heart and that's about all that matters. It's not like he's playing for Essendon, or a real footy team; I view it as he's playing for his super fund.

My thoughts exactly. I think it was a win-win for him to go up there. We got a pick to use/trade and immunity from another pleyer being hauled up there and Brownie got his playing years increaced by two, maybe even three with a price boost on top. We weren't going to keep him around forever, despite being a favourite son.

I love the guy and hope he does well up there!

On that note he did get booed at the MCG, which I was a bit disappointed by from a Hawthorn perspective.

Reading this weekends footy record I see Brown Dog is in the pocket profile. One of the questions is: Most memorable victory (AFL or non-AFL)? Answer: 2009 Grand Final. o_O Hope it's a typo otherwise I think the sun and Gold Coast living is messing with his head.

Maybe the footy record has the same sub-editors as the hun?

Either that, or he really hates St.Kilda :)

Lot of love around the crowd for browny on the weekend.

some boos but half hearted and under breath. mis reported in the media of course

Watching the game in the latter half it seemed like mass-booing. Good to know that wasn't the case from someone at the grown's perspective.

That was for Breust, as in "Broooooooooooooooooooooooooooooost".

Mad Dog was booed when he took his first mark and kicked his first goal, but nobody bothered after that.

'Twas vintage Brown.

Was sitting down at ground level near that hit and you could hear it when it happened it was that hard.

Stratts is very lucky he angled himself away from the impact zone as he could have copped an almighty corkie or shoulder injury etc.

Some of our current players need to take a leaf out of Brownie's book in terms of being super hard at the ball. Brownie will always be one of my favourites for his hardness.

I watched the 08 grand final highlights yesterday and what stood out was how hard we were at the ball in that game. It was clearly a theme to target the Cats with aggression at the ball. We are miles off that intensity at the moment. Not sure we have the same calibre of players to be able to dish it out for a whole game too. Back in 08 we had Crawf, Dew, Robbie Campbell, Brownie, etc who were hard as nails at the contest. We dont have the same big bodies this time around.

Now in further awe of browny. The slow hawk starts have me worried. Gold Coast were paying $6 for a point first score of the game and $6.10 for a goal first score of the game.
I got my hawk mate to decide between a goal and a point and he picked a point. $30
Browny didn't let me down. Never looked like going thru for a goal. :)

as i sat near the bench after some efforts of them trying to get the ball us trying to get the ball and it was going back and forwards in the 4th quarter , Brownie went for it hard quite a few times when that was over and ball went else where Brown went off to the bench , could hardly run after all those efforts [poor bugger] but i know that is how he was for us too , seen him leave the ground at the dome in bare feet walking very tenderly after all his efforts .

Thought that was you HH.
About 5 minutes after that security came and told me off too i guess from 1st quarter , said someone had smsed my seat saying i abused the umps , no i actually didn't , i asked mcg fb page what they say is abuse as i was told i had abused the umps and the said swearing mmmm no didn't do that , racist comments mmmm nope did not do that , offensive language ?? wouldn't that be swearing ?? don't think i said any of that anyway and if anything only yelled at the umps 3 times can not think of those 3 comments being anywhere near offensive the ones around me defended me and gave a bit of lip to them as they left.

reminds me of when i got told off for being too loud at the tigers game , i said to the security guy since when is it against the rules to cheer for your team ? i did not abuse anyone or swear so what did i do wrong 10 sec's after that one left full voice GO HAWKS and told any that did not like noise they should not go to the footy . security left me alone after that for that game anyway .

better be careful in syd not sure what their security are like

awesome interview with Brownie and Matthew Lloyd on the Sun Footy Show. Good to see Brown didn't retract his 'biggest sniper in the game' comment.

The press are running with the lloyd had to be escorted from the ground because of hawthorn officials and er players waiting for him

But its just hresay isnt it lloyd beacause you didnt say you saw those people yourself, just that an essendon official said so

But of course essendon officials are completely trustworthy arent they ?

Lloyd was what sniping is
hits behind the ball when players weren't looking
he'd often try it with Campbell, but Browne would take him

I recall the year after the line in the sand game
Brown throwing Lloyd over his shoulder (judo throw style) and landing several punches

it's too bad Brown didn't start 5 yrs earlier, then he'd be rated
I rate him higher then archer

HFC Premiership player. Love the Brown dog. Hopefully Murphy comes down along he was pretty good by all reports against the Giants.
