Do you seriously think he knew it was a 2nd gamer. I just saw it again in fast motion. He was at top pace trying to make the contest, realised very late he couldnt, then braced himself probably in knowledge that he would be giving away a free kick, maybe a 50, which is all it deserved.
Had it been a short man he might have been able to get in a spoil.
Braced himself? You brace yourself when a hit is coming, not when you are dishing it out. He turned sideways, jumped & aimed his forearm/elbow square into Kreuzer's lower back. That sort of impact can cause major injury, either to the back itself, or the kidneys. His only intention was to hurt Kreuzer & regardless of what we were taught when playing football as kids, the AFL rules are clear when it comes to this sort of incident. The AFL is trying to minimise avoidable, serious injuries.
