Round 8 2005 - 3 Goals and listed in Subi's best
Round 9 2005 - 4 Goals and listed in Subi's best
Round 10 2005 - 3 goals and listed in Subi's best
Round 11 2005 - Played Round 10 of the AFL and kicked 3 goals on debut
Round 15 2005 - 2 goals and listed in Subi's best

Given Subi was going pretty strongly at that stage I would say he was standing out nicely.

I didn't recall his stats being that good, but I guess in that Subi side there would have been plenty of opportunities for a mobile half forward.

There's no way that will happen. Pressure on positions is what will take us, hopefully, to the top. Even if Old Man Shane got dropped I guarantee he would be trying his guts out in the WAFL to make sure those in the team are earning it. That is what would be in the best interest of the team.

Parker is 34, if he has lost a yard of pace (which I'm not saying he has) then he could become a liability.

I did. At the time Crowley was demanding to be selected just like K1W1 Campbell is now.

Lets hope my man "Dunn a little bit now" & Ibbo do the same in the next few weeks.

If Dunn plays well in the wafl in the next fortnight, especially if he is playing on the ball, he will come into the 22. Webster and Gilmore will probably be regular emergencies this year becaue we know what they offer. At present we don't know what Dunn and Campbell can do.

Where do you see him playing IP? He played mostly across half forward last year, but with Tarrant and Solomon joining the forward line I can't see him getting a run there this year. It might have been worth giving him a game at CHB this week, he is the same height and weight as Dodd.

Hopefully he plays a key defensive role at wafl level this year because I can't see a 190cm forward breaking into the team any time soon.

Well being no expert, the answer would be "not sure really". But he has height, pace, smarts, and does not seem to panic when he gets the ball. Maybe he could have played a role similar to Johnson's - I can't see that having a player like him on the half back line would be a liability... Plus I like the kid. I've said it before and I believe it to be true - he'll be the next captain of our club. :thumbsu:

If we are a chance of playing finals, and Parker (or anyone) retired midseason, I would be spewing. A suspension or two, a drop in form, an injury, or some unexpected off-field issue and he could be called in even if he had drifted from a current 22. No point having depth if you are only going to focus on the best 22.

Exactly. Even if Parks starts to look a bit behind it in the 22 he won't be a 'liability' pushing the guys who are in the 22 to go harder. The Wakelins come in and out of their sides to suit matchups and team structure, doubt they would bunk off mid-year.
