If it comes down to a choice between travelling interstate or staying here they will. You know, it might be smart to not slag the guy off so much around the club. Just sayin is all.

I'm certainly not slagging the guy off, if that's what you think. He was entitled to leave and did, I just don't really see him in the same light as a Carlton champ as I once did. I think you dont lose the enjoyment of footy like he says when you truly love the club- Campo just thought of himself playing finals- thankfully (because it's Essendon) it backfired. I think Campo will end up just saying screw it to Carlton, much like Hamill did.

Also, he went to the enemy, which is pretty unforgivable- I'm sure we feel the same way as Collingwood fans felt when they saw Mick McGuane in Carlton colours.

Personally i think that the fans have been a bit tough on Camporeale. Sure the way he left the club was unacceptable and I also was dissapointed to see it and thought it was seriously out of character for Camporeale. But the fact is that Camporeale picked up Best and Fairest, All Australian, and was part of a premiership team with Carlton. He was a steady achiever for us and his quest for personal glory overtook his passion for his club (Although ultimately it was the wrong club to go to) Still personally I wish Campo all the best of luck for the rest of his career and with his family and I would like to see him return to the club in some fashion further down the track.

I don't think the fans have been tough on him at all. He was selfish and should expect, after a decade of elite football, that the fans are going to lay into him over this. Out of character? Camporeale was always an individual on the field and now, off it as well. I too would like Campo to return to the club, but I dont think he will, at least not in the way 200+ game premiership veterans of clubs usually do. Good luck to him sure, but I will give him stick every time I watch him play until the end of his career.
