Terrible take, thank you for sharing.
I meant better than the actual runners up
In most finals series the premier beats each of the other top 4 teams

Don't worry he's a bit sensitive after his team's GF wipe out this yearI meant better than the actual runners up

"The prelim teams were better" sure as s**t didn't apply this year.Don't worry he's a bit sensitive after his team's GF wipe out this year
‘Maybe’ is a word unquoted’ the only fact is hawthorn were premiers"The prelim teams were better" sure as s**t didn't apply this year.
as a North fan do you see him as a future captain?Wrong, LDU is 23 and will be until June next year. Wrong again, LDU has shown enough to suggest he is going to be a gun.
I only realised today North picked up Dan Howe as a DFA. Makes a nice matched pair with Shiels I guess?
How this impacts the premise of the OP other than being a thing that happened, we'll have to loop back at the end of the season. With our monocle of hindsight.
No, he has never been in the leadership group. Seems to remain mostly quiet which I'm fine with. Simpkin should be our next captain starting next year.as a North fan do you see him as a future captain?
At least the AFL have acknowledged who the best 2 sides were by having them meet next year in round 1"The prelim teams were better" sure as s**t didn't apply this year.
Yes I absolutely do. He isn't the biggest or loudest speaker but similar to Cunners he lets his actions do the talking and inspiring.as a North fan do you see him as a future captain?
Probably no real harm to North, but it’s amusing that he took them both on instead of players with more growth, after hearing stories regarding Clarkson refusing to look passed some of his favorites at the Hawks in his later years and falling with Wright over the way forward.I only realised today North picked up Dan Howe as a DFA. The premiers are obvious, but I'm struggling to see it with the team with a 0-4 record against the Grand Final teams and 4-7 record against the top 8.At least the AFL have acknowledged who the best 2 sides were by having them meet next year in round 1
Perhaps they saw the 6 point margin a bit more competitive than 81. Who knowsThe premiers are obvious, but I'm struggling to see it with the team with a 0-4 record against the Grand Final teams and 4-7 record against the top 8.
Congratulations on being competitive in your 0-2 against Geelong and 0-4 against the years two top teams.Perhaps they saw the 6 point margin a bit more competitive than 81. Who knows
Cheers. Won the same amount of silverware as you lads with a fraction of the embarrassment. Any way the AFL has decided the draw so direct your anger at them.Congratulations on being competitive in your 0-2 against Geelong and 0-4 against the years two top teams.
I worry that North will finish last again and sack the coach.
Clarko needs several years to get North anywhere near finals let alone a flag.
Clubs generally have no patience.
North have no debt at all now, thank goodness. Both north and Essendon didn’t give ther last coaches even 2 years in the job
Don’t see why the rest of the league should subsidise that

How much did NM pay out Noble? Both north and Essendon didn’t give ther last coaches even 2 years in the job

I suppose I mean it has to be a long termI think North know they are in for the long haul, Clarkson isn’t likely to be a quick fix, he might perform miracles, and get them out of the bottom for next year, alternatively they might take 4-5 years to make finals, they only way he gets sacked next year is if the Hawthorn scandal comes back to bite. This is a project and honesty I think it will pay off long term.
