So as to question of finals- I think that shipped sailed with yesterday's performance and Adelaide beating Wet Toast.

I don't think we ever bought a ticket on that ship anyway.

Finals would be a dream, but realistically probably too hard given we still have quite a few tough games to come.

I had us as a big chance provided we beat the Aints. Alas, it wasn't to be.

Still hoping for a few big scalps in the second half of the season.

As it was so succinctly put, "reality check confirmed". Whether this was because they got ahead of themselves or whether they were just tiring remains to be known. Should Bolton have freshened up the team last week and played Silvagni and perhaps Jaksch for some youthful enthusiasm? Hindsight. They certainly looked flat though. We have been made proud up to this point though and we are all happy with the progress without the prospect of making finals.

Some very good signs with the Northern Blues performing now with 3 wins in a row and beating Box Hill which means our base is being lifted. Phillips, Silvagni and to a lesser extent Jaksch demanding to be picked. Still have Buckley back there and Graham who seems to be a little out of favour but good depth if nothing else. Whiley seems to keep coming up in the best as well and then theres Tutt who continues to rack up.

Also exciting to hear McKay and Curnow will return this week. Lets hope we continue to see progress (even if that doesnt result in wins) and see where that takes us in 2017.
