Why not try and at least get a draft pick for him though? Even next year's second or third rounder, just something.

Surely he improved his value at Gold Coast compared to his time at Adelaide.

Inside the playing group. The guy thought he was bigger than the club, which was tragic given how disliked he was throughout the playing group. The fact the Suns were prepares to let him go for nothing while under contract says an enormous amount.

The real shame is the Suns surely could've got something like a future 3rd round pick out of a team during trade week which would help their list build. It's poor list management really.

He just realised how bad the GC truly are and decided he would get more success at the Lions.
