Breaking into the top 4 will be a good start
Only out of top 4 on percentage. A long, long way to go, and frankly I can't see anyone matching the Pies or Lions.

I'm not even sure Geelong can sneak into the finals at this stage where as the Pies sit clear on top of the ladder with one of the best squads of the 21st century. It'll like be a Pies flag, Naicos Brownlow and Elliot Coleman

**** it I’m calling it now. Geelong flag, Ollie Henry wins the Brownlow with his mum as his date and Stengers wins the Coleman but is passed out in the shitters so Tyson Stenglein accepts it on his behalf as he’s there coincidentally.

Ah well every campaigner too old us we were ****ed and too old before the season so anything is a bonus. This narrative of “peaking too early” is strange seeing Geelong in 2022 and us in 2023 were top for most of the season. Sydney shitting the bed spectacularly last year has given some weight however
Not really, we were 5-4 at one stage in 22 but I get your point.
Pies are the clear favourites and I can’t see them dropping off.

The OP has a habit of being obsessed with Geelong and loves trying the reverse mozz.
I think he’s a little worried.

Im sure us flogs on BF wont be on the whiteboard on GF day if we meet

Not sure if you’re a Peep Show fan but Stengle takes too much coke Super Hans style to ‘relax him’ for his acceptance speech and Stenglein’s speech if it’s half as good as either of Peep Show’s two iconic wedding impromptu speeches…. Well let’s just say it would be something to behold.

Right now Geelong are on track to do what no VFL/AFL have ever done before - a clean sweep of the Premiership, Brownlow and Coleman Medal with Bailey Smith and Jeremy Cameron on track to win both awards

This will be considered the greatest individual season of all time if it happens which is possible.

Subscribed.

I pencil the GFC for the quadruple crown every year. We are the Kim Jong Il of the AFL, we never lose and break records every time we step on the field.

Tell us you're afraid of the Cats without telling you're afraid. Trying to put the mozz on.

Clearly they're a bit off the pace on current form, got to get top 4 to give it a fair shake. If they won, wouldn't even be the 4th best Geelong premiership this last 25 years. I think anyone could admit the cats sides of yesteryear are a cut above almost any side today, at least as far as talent and the stats and results are undeniable.

He does it all the time because we are the one team who generally gives the Pies trouble regardless of where the two teams are on the ladder, albeit they’ve done the same to us many times as well.

not this shit again... Vic and his nervousness starting GFC threads in the hope of deflection from his Pies.

GO Catters

No side that wins it this year will be close to those earlier Geelong teams. The Cats are tracking competitively on most metrics this season though. Enough for top 4 with the upcoming fixture list in this form.

The ceiling, if everything clicked into place, would be something closer to the 2022 Cats - who were 8-4 at this stage of that season I'm fairly sure. More likely a level below that, so in the preliminary final area. Get called finals chokers for being the 3rd or 4th best team in the comp again - rinse and repeat. ;)

Elementary my dear Watson.

Last time we leave the Top 4 from here. 2 top 8 sides left and 5 games vs Ess, NM and Richmond in our last 11 matches. 6 games at KP as well. Top 2 should be the aim.
