Not sure if you’re a Peep Show fan but Stengle takes too much coke Super Hans style to ‘relax him’ for his acceptance speech and Stenglein’s speech if it’s half as good as either of Peep Show’s two iconic wedding impromptu speeches…. Well let’s just say it would be something to behold.

I think anyone could admit the cats sides of yesteryear are a cut above almost any side today, at least as far as talent and the stats and results are undeniable.

He does it all the time because we are the one team who generally gives the Pies trouble regardless of where the two teams are on the ladder, albeit they’ve done the same to us many times as well.

No side that wins it this year will be close to those earlier Geelong teams. The Cats are tracking competitively on most metrics this season though. Enough for top 4 with the upcoming fixture list in this form.

The ceiling, if everything clicked into place, would be something closer to the 2022 Cats - who were 8-4 at this stage of that season I'm fairly sure. More likely a level below that, so in the preliminary final area. Get called finals chokers for being the 3rd or 4th best team in the comp again - rinse and repeat.
