Well... I havent looked it up and so I may be wrong but there was definitely at least one year Craigy didn't get us to the finals.....

Again withough researching I could be way wrong.....

The only time we didnt make the finals was in 1991-1992. I cant remember if balmy or craigy was coaching

Yes he can

sure he has faults but has some good strengths as well.

If we have a decent run with injuries and players such as McLeod Goodwin don't let us down and play to their abilitiy most weeks we will have a big shot.

Reilly and Schuback will need to fire to help our quality depth.

No we got 4 and they get 5 which as you said is really 6 clubs. This issue really gets up my nose. Port keep on bragging that they are the same club that won all those premierships in SANFL and that the new magpies were formed when the Power entered the AFL. If this is the case why would they be eligible to draft sons of club legends from other SANFL clubs. Surely you won't see Collingwood picking up a son of a Carlton legend under the father son rule.

If in fact they are the same club then Port should only pick from Magpies and we should be able to get the rest of the clubs. I know for a fact that AFC are not very happy about the way the clubs were split up. To make things even more funnier was the fact that Glenelg were originally aligned to Power. Only after the outcry of Glenelg people was it changed.

Very true. Credit where its due because he really turned our club into a regular finals contender and has made us a side which plays an attractive football and more often than not gives 100% every time we take the field.

What I hate about Ayres is his stubborness to admit that he was wrong and taking too long to make a move when its obvious that the match up is not working. Clear examples are Mattner on Woewodin and Perrie on Lynch.

Have been debating that line of thought with the odd Pap supporter for 8 years but i just can't seem to get through to them

I was all set to commit hari-kari when the Bays were at first aligned to the Port Power but thankfully common sense prevailed. :)

Yes. That's the big area where he can improve.

Not so sure it will happen though. The fact he thought Voss didn't hurt us in our last game was pretty staggering.

I wonder how much input the other coaches have. Realistically they should all be part of the decision making and this makes me think that should Ayres be replaced it should come from outside the current coaching group. But that's a long way down the track.

Last year we had (according to experts) the best list in the league bar Brisbane. Experts had us as a strong flag possibility.
Please name the so-called expert who said Adelaide had the second best list.

I certainly didn`t hear any experts say that.

that's very odd as they were equal flag favourites after winning the preseason cup.

maybe you port folks don't read good.
