Port have #WealthBias, #VICBIAS and #Crowbias against them, so if he does win a flag with Port it will be glorious.

As a glorious Port Premier he will be forgiven one (1) floggish act eg personal payout on the club president on the podium.

Port have a beaut drive that borders on the insane,and that helped them do it once.

So while it is unlikely they can do it, they did it before, and I will sink a few in their honour if they do.

Bonus points if they beat the Crows, more likely it will be us because we are usually thereabouts and in Grand Finals vs the Pies the first ones free.

I think that's pretty accurate.
You guys have the holy trinity of Butters, Rozee and JHF, with a good forward in Georgie, but really need to source some quality small forwards and some key and medium defenders, which arnt the easiest to find.
If Whitlock kicks on, it might be worth moving Luko back to defence to try and fix one of those holes.

I don't think he managed the team and its programs and some of the staff, that's clearly Hinkley since staff like Cornes and Davis have been let go.

2007 Port was not a weak list. It's only in hindsight because of the GF performance that we call it that. Geelong at that level would beat most runner ups this century by 10+ goals.

I said 2007, which does not feature half of those players you mentioned. 2007 exceeded all of Hinkley's 13 seasons with a weaker list than most of the lists Ken had. 2020 was far more stacked than 2007 and he still managed to botch it. A better coach would have taken advantage of the lists he had.

Choco got lucky in an elimination final against West Coast in 2007, easily the 2nd best list that year but during the game cousins (who was going well) did his hammy full flight and judd's groin was shot but he still kicked a bag from the goal square. We also had a dream injury run that year, everything went right for us bad the GF.

The list still had some pieces from the 2000-2004 era with shaun burgoyne in his prime.

I think the AFL's decision on the NGA and F/S picks will determine what happens with Carr and the club going forward.

Cochrane, Salopek, Rodan with another good nga (forgot his name). Getting cheap access to them can shape our list our list build.

I know this thread is a troll, but I'll answer anyway. If literally any other coach coaches Port from 2013-2023 we would have had at least a couple of GF appearances. Literally anyone. Obviously after a decade plus of topping up the list is now burnt out and in desperate need of a refresh, as well as all the star players on the list being mentally weak on account of being coached by Ken Hinkley. But that's objectively better getting to a grand final than what Ken did in 13 seasons, because Ken couldn't do it and he had superior line ups than that 2007 inferior squad. My point being Williams was able to manage better than Ken, contrasting your unproven assumption you made that Ken is the best coach ever, when there's far superior coaches out there, who could have taken advantage of those 13 seasons.

From a Port member perspective, my expectations are low for Carr in his first three years as the club needs to evolve radically from top to bottom. Its a question on how well our players will adapt to the changes and what new players are introduced to shape Carr's coaching style.

The cleanout so far has been positive as a lot of administrators, assistant coaches and low level players that have been at the club too long needed to move on. It would be nice if our president and CEO also moved on as the club severly lacked strong leadership from the top that enabled Ken to endure for so long.

The Kenny fan boy players are in for a rude shock come preseason. They better be ready!

Port over the next five years will swing between 8th and 14th place, and I dont think he will get past five years without making a prelim at least.
