Opinion Can Swan kick 50 goals

Swanny could easily kick 40 and possibly 50 if he played a full season forward. His forward body work to push his defender under the flight of the ball is second to none. Just think he is still more valuable in the midfield, but if we start struggling for goals I wouldn't hesitate in pushing him forward for a majority of games.

Elite midfielder, thats his spot, he provides the anility for others to score.
A good 30 goals and as a mid, that will be very nice indeed

Lethal kicked 70 one year. Daicos kicked 90? - a lot anyway. In a good side with plenty of time in the forward half and a key marking forward as the first option, Swan could do a lot of damage. he's terribly hard to match up on one on one and is an accurate kick for goal. If he does play fwd he could kick between 35- and 50

Daics kicked 97, if I remember correctly, in 90, second to Longmire in the Coleman. He's kicked 60s, 70s. In other years. Heck, I think in 92 he was averaging like 8 goals a games for 4-5 week stint.

Won't Kick 50 but might Kick 20-30 Goals

I doubt he could do that in one game but he was to play as a permanent forward for a whole season he would be a chance.

Daics kicked 97, if I remember correctly, in 90, second to Longmire in the Coleman. He's kicked 60s, 70s. In other years. Heck, I think in 92 he was averaging like 8 goals a games for 4-5 week stint.

That was in the day when forwards played as forwards and there was very little congestion in teams defensive 50. These days the aim is to get every player in there as often as possible.

Daicos was like Teflon. He could 2 defenders dragging him down, one standing in front of him and he'd still snag goals. He'd be a star in any era.

Still an accumulator and you can't have too much class through the middle, keep him going as he has been, some teams run with 10 to 12 mid's all over the ground anyway.

Swanny is no Daics and I wouldn't want him to think he had to kick 50 a year to get a game. He's a ball magnet. Played forwards in stints he'll kick goals but it shouldn't now be on him to kick us 3 a game moreso than Pendles or Sidey. All our mids should play forward and kick goals at different stages of games. If 5 of our mids kick 20+ for the season its a better option than Swanny kicking 50 on his own.

On swan himself I still like him as a midfielder. 60/40 split to accomodate out very long line of mids sounds about right. 30+ goals easily achievable.
