I can.

Geelong haven’t been anyone in a long time.

Brisbane were awful last week.

Geelong are wildly overrated.

Hawks are a lock.

Nah mate. It's all about how they're playing and style of game. Granted the Cats have had an easy fixture (again...how does that even happen given they are always at the top end of the ladder?). Regardless, they have been super impressive in how they've set themselves up and game style. I do think the winner of the GF will come from this side of the draw. Collingwood were flattered playing a side that can't cope with pressure. It was only pressure that beat the Crows last week...and a little bit of forward pressure, Collingwood need to find something else very quickly to get through.

It's only when I watched them closely over the past 8 quarters that I realised how many very, very ordinary footballers they are carrying. And some very buggered ones.

I actually think they did incredibly well to mask their flaws for so long, but last night it was obvious how one-dimensional they were and how so few levers they actually had to pull. Plan B seems to be to swap Rankine and Dawson, and that's it.

My team is obsessed with resting players and it seems to be paying off now. I get the sense that nobody at Adelaide was "managed" during the year. They looked utterly stuffed (unforgivable management) and utterly ordinary.

And man, did some players put huge dints in their reputations in the last fortnight. Thilthorpe hears footsteps, Dawson burns teammates, the defence seem to HATE each other and can't stop bitching openly on field. The latter has been happening all year (Josh Worrell, I'm looking at you).

A few valid points. On Dawson, he’s been burning teammates all year. Refuses to use hands when a player is in a better position to deliver.

How does it happen? If the AFL predicted that Port would swap spots with Adelaide or Collingwood and swapped that double up then it would look about right. Geelong's record against top 9 teams is 7-4 so it's not like there has been a flat track bully vibe. Our only poor game at the G was against Carlton so we are worthy of playing a prelim there.

things were looking so sweet for them just a month and a bit ago.
confident and eye on the prize.
Unfortunately things have slowed down at the wrong time of the year.
They let themselves down in that first final and have no one to blame but themselves.
It looks like they peaked early, but I think it's largely because they switched to a defensive gameplan which couldn't hold up for long enough. Very Melbourne 2022-23.

You think you'll drop next year?

No guarantees, but I can't see you not making top 4 next year unless youre ravaged by injuries. If I was a Crows fan I'd consider finishing top 4 and playing even two finals a huge win.
Crows won't "drop". Well they will.

I think they will finish 5th or 6th next season and get a home Elim final win

This capitulation - last 2 months - makes me worry a bit. I could see a finish anywhere from 1st again to dropping out of the 8 again.
Considering the ladder this season, I agree.

Had the dockers lost to the dogs, dockers could of got 9th with 15 wins and 8 defeats this season.

Harsh to call it a capitulation. Yeah they got narrow wins vs North Melbourne and eagles when they should of Cruised to a 5 or 6 goal win.

They narrowly beaten hawks and magpies at home before the finals.

If they are gonna slip, I see them get 14 wins.

Funnily their drop off began when they got to the top. The wins papered over how bad it was a bit, but it was like Collingwood's drop off.

Collingwood regrouped and bounced back in finals while they did not.

Made to look good courtesy of a very easy and soft draw with minimal injuries. Every year they play St Kilda at Adelaide oval and every year it’s a 10 goal thumping (apart from covid). Then their supporters go on about how fantastic they are and start googling how to engrave metal only to fall in a huge hole

Predicted straight sets.

And the Camry’s delivered.

They won’t make the 8 next year with a proper draw.

Bookmark it.

Yeah. I guess Carlton will really struggle next year then, given the AFL ranked your draw (after the H&A season) by far the easiest in 2025. You didn't do much what that, did you? Adelaide's draw in 2025 was ranked on par with Geelong and Fremantle.

We will - our draw wasn't that soft, we'll play finals.

But we won't be a contender while we have this moron as our coach.

It's always the coach.

Nothing to do with your big key forward who went from All Australian to an All Average, your other gun who didn't get to play at all because he said a word we can't say anymore, and your defense that went from rock solid to just plain old rocky.

Yep, Nicks did all of that.

Called it a month or two ago ITT they weren't contenders this year.

Was surprised how poor they were two weeks in a row, though. Jack Gunston had a pretty good game on Friday but at the same time did he get out of second gear? 7 marks 5 goals 3 behinds and not a single contested mark. He's a smart leading forward but the pressure on the ball going inside 50 was non existent. And that continued all game as centre bounce momentum fluctuated.
