- MELBOURNE DEMONS! :)
Well before you all say "NO, they can't", lets take a moment to re-asses Sunday's game.
For starters the milestones: *Steven Febey's 250th game and possibly his last milestone on what seems to be the end of his career
*Andrew Leoncelli's 100th game, if anything Chell himself will lift and play a good game, something he hasn't done in a while
*Peter Walsh's 50th game, now we know this guy can play, in fact he is one of our best defenders/runners so lets hope he actually gets selected (after about 6 weeks out) and that he comes straight into the side without going through Sandy (we have too many people who need to go there, Walshy ain't one of them), to celebrate his 50th game!
*also... i have to mention this one, Robbo's 100th goal! Now we know he can kick, we know he can mark, the question is can he give us one goal??? hmmmm..... as long as he keeps away from Grgic i think he'll be just fine! CONGRATULATION you managed to miss 2 goals last week, which ment we lost but at least i'll get to see your 100th goal!
Ok so there are the milestones, there is also the history between North Melbourne and the Dees and the last time we met they went down to us by 50 points at the palimenary finals (which if you think about it was the last good game I've seen of melbourne
).
I read the interview with Steven Febey on the Demons site and it seems as though the guys are have really hit rock bottom. Yeah ok i know they say that every week, but i think that losing to West Coast is really the lowest of all lows!
We know the guys have the ability to shine the problem is they haven't been able to do that, now rather its from lack of fitness or lack of inspiration i don't know, but what i do know is that come Sunday Melbourne needs to lift, they need to play as hard as they can and show that passion that they lost last year after the grand-final.
I urge all of you to come and watch the dees (yes dees01 i am talking to you), because although last week's preformance was poor, the boys will play better this week and they will need YOUR support in order to really lift.
GOOD LUCK and GO DEES!
