Can Walker deliver?

JK has gone so he needs someone else to pretend to be obsessed about:D

Banno for PM will get a run again soon:eek:
When Banno gets delisted wil DC just vanish, or will Clint Benjamin become the new "chosen one"?;)

I think DC was gobsmacked when the bloke he was using as part of his stirring actually got a game and then did pretty well:D That whole saga cracked me up..I think I even giggled girlishly:eek:

I imagine being hailed as a visionary warmed the cockles of his soul;)

I know he's injured, but now he's got time to go away and think about his football, when he comes back, will he deliver?... the ball to a team-mate instead of the opposition!

Seriously, this guy has terrible skills, kicking efficiency would be pushing zero and his handball efficiency would be in the negatives.
So many times he gets the ball, dashes off half back (which is good, if you have the skills to execute the play), then he runs to fast and doesn't slow down before he kicks and oops, it's a turnover, it costs Carlton time and time again, and I for one cannot say I'm too disappointed that he's going to have an extended absence from the team.
Actually it's 72% and 78%- not great but not that bad!

Does that mean if I rate Banno as a football player I can't be taken seriously and get put in the same boat as DC and nutcase?

And I would be so gutted if you got kicked off the board for repeatedly slating our players...

I for one am gutted for Walks and wish him a quick recovery. I would have loved to see him start the season running off the back flanks past a bullet handpass from Judd so he can pump it into the forward line.

That goes double for me.

This is nothing but trolling when Walker is out with a serious injury and he's posted trash.

Walker is a great handball and has great hands below his knees for a tall midfielder.

DC should be yellow carded for this.

What garbage. What's this place becoming, ****ing Playschool?

Possibly:p, but you'll need to rate him as one of Carlton's best players while he is struggling even in the Ants for full value to be put in DC's basket:D.

Need to pair the Banno praise with a backhander to a Carlton youngster to really get in the flow as well.

I love to see any Carlton player do well, especially those who have been maligned, but DC started his campaign pretty much after Banno had a couple of shockers for the Ants and pretty much always paired with criticism of another Blue's player.

Fair play to Banno he had few ripper games for us last season:thumbsu:

I don't know, I grew out of Play School thirty years ago.

Have you?

*waits for a sarcastic remark in lieu of a witty comeback*

It's a gutless thread when he has a serious injury and might even miss the rest of the year as a worst case scenario.

I think I heard this DC muppet ring up SEN on Friday using the name **** and ask how Bannister was playing.

I've always liked Banno as a player and thought he should have played more senior games over the past few years.

I am all too well aware of the few times he got caught with the ball coming out of defenceine, but when one is used to playing at VFL level it should be expected that the speed of AFL level will take a few games to adjust to. I also can recall many instances where he was one of our best in terms of getting the job he was assigned done in a particular game (round 22, 2004 v Pies his shut-down job on Buckley and 2-3 goals himself comes to mind) and am very comfortable that his positives far outweigh his negatives.

I hear Ratts rates him too :)

Yes. Top-shelf talent, and future superstar. Has edged past Cooney as the best of the 2003 draft. Can't wait to see him in action in the midfield alongside Judd. :)
your the only 1 left having the same dream, but i do feal sorry for the guy .
i think that with judd in the team he might have gained some confidence & gotten some guidence from judd that might of ressurrected his carreer
will be behind the 8 ball though. but seriously though parrott cooney is ahead of walker atm by a fair way :)

As I said fair play to the lad and as I posted at the time of the Doggies and Port games. You always need soldiers to support the guns and he is a solid squad player. Personally I would have used the two games he stitched up Cornes and the half on Johnstone that probably saved his career as examples of him doing a good job as well:thumbsu::)

I don't think you are getting how DC was using him though:D

1.
Never watched it.

2. This makes no sense whatsoever.

3. You can't discuss a player once he is injured now?

4. Muppet? Now I'm just plain embarrassed for you.

You see a point in discussing if a man who won't be physically able to play until around rounds 8-10, let alone match fit by round 11 can play consistantly good football at AFL level?

Come round 10, come back and pose the question I say.

Well, it is a cheap shot at a player that can't do anything to dispel the vile comments made by DC until round 10, possibly longer.

If he was playing and was doing well in those games then DC is made to look like the idiot we all know him to be. But as he cant play for 2.5 months, then there is nothing until then to refute the claims made by DC. But as someone else has stated, his stats for his disposals are actually up in the 70 percent range and while he does have the occassional shocker, they were being worked on by the development staff.

And then when Walks does come back, he still wont be at full match fitness for about a month to six weeks which means that he will have to come back through the Bullants and DC will make hay about that as well.

All in all, DC is making himself look good at the expense of an injured player.

Message to self: You can no longer judge a players past performances if he gets injured. Cheers :thumbsu:

Given that the thread was started directly after the extent of Walker's injury was revealed, the history of DC and the highly exaggerated criticism in the opening post, you can hardly consider it a serious judgment of Walker. Yes, Walker has had issues with his disposal, yet DC has gone way over the top in his criticism which IMO, is justification for the responses in this thread.

Yes, you can judge a players past performances, but DC is basically saying that Walker is as useless as the player whose name he has taken.

Walker, as I think that I said, has the occassional shocker, but is nowhere near as bad as DC makes out.

Everyone has a bad day and turns over the ball now and then. Damn, even Judd did while he was playing for the weagles... but we never heard anyone slating him for it.

judge his performances on the day, dont want until he has been rubbed out from an injury before you start judging his worth to the team based on a few bad incidences.

He isn't. You yourself admit he always bags him. Everyone here is just upset by Walker's injury and rightly so but this bloke is only giving his opinion as unpopular as it is.

Walker is only 21 ffs. Plus he's a new dad and just screwed his shoulder and is going to miss 2 -3 months BEFORE round 1 even starts. Get off his back.

I understand some of the critisisms. Personally the thing that frustrates me most is he has the potential to be a star (or possibly that could be just the legacy of his first AFL game) yet cant quite seem to find 'it'. Then again his whole AFL career he has been in a team that consistently loses (a lot) more than it wins, with all the crap (true or not) re pagan etc.

I had a good feeling that this would be his year to break the shackles. Alas - injury proved me wrong.

Oh - and im sitting on the fence as to whether the OP is a tool.... positive points for DC for provoking discussion, negative points against DC for blatant own team trolling.
