I wish nothing but the worst for his 250th game. Hoping he stinks it up big time and he walks off the ground a loser. Once the final siren goes and the 90,000 fans are screaming yellow and black only then will I spare a thought for the guy. During the game he is just another guy in orange in the way of us and a grand final.

I don’t hate him and perhaps when he hangs up his boots I may remember him a tiger, but this weekend he’s the enemy. Nothing he’s done since 2005 means anything, not the 243 games he played for us, not leaving the club, the only thing that matters is the jumper he’s wearing right now. And I’ll treat him the same as I treat anyone else wearing that jumper.

A good servant of the club. Was one of our best players for a number of years, but that says more about our list at those times too. A good runner, liked getting the ball in open space and usually a good kick, but offset by his inability to break a tag and general all-round softness IMHO.

Weird situation for him. Wanted a last chance at winning a premiership, and didn't think he'd get one at Richmond. Now Richmond have hit form and he may have won one with them anyway.

Would have been a massive decision, and in hindsight if he had his time again, he probably would have stayed at Richmond.

Couple of tiggers tried to hang him out early doors ITT because of rumours and allegations?

Did he do something wrong or have we gone all Ryder/EFC circa ASADA?

Most Richmond fans hold him in very high regard.

Sure, for this game he is 'the enemy', but outside of that, he's sure to be given every accolade and support by Richmond and it's fans.

Probably a reason we are having such a good year and the group is so close is that lids is not there anymore. Had his little clicks and from all reports didn't have much time for younger players.

This is WAR. I won't be holding back DURING the game. However, once that final siren goes, I will be saluting him whether we win or lose.
Just had a quick look, it's actually a relatively meaningless game of football, not "WAR".

Hope this helps.

Whenever I saw his guns I just wanted him to hold me, especially when he was rocking that techno-mullet.

Great bloke, great player - much respect for Lids.

But he is just another step in the way to winning a premiership!

I'll boo the GWS team as they run out, and I'll boo the defender taking the kickouts for the first few behinds until I get over it, and I may boo a few set shots from GWS players along the way, if they come from dodgy ump decisions or non decisions. Other than that, I won't be booing, and I definetely won't be booing Lids every time he has the ball.

250 games is not going to see losing fans hang around to cheer him after he just helped end that teams season. If Richmond are done early 90% of their fans will not be there at the end so not sure why you would expect they cheer him off.
